WASHINGTON, DC: After Joe Biden's disastrous debate performance, both current and former aides have begun to share insights into what the President is like away from the public eye.

These revelations paint a picture of a leader who may be struggling more than previously acknowledged.

Insiders claim it's time for Joe Biden to go

The White House and Biden’s campaign attributed his weak debate performance to a "cold," suggesting that this was the reason for his low and sometimes incomprehensible words. However, some insiders claim that what the public saw during the debate is reflective of Biden's current daily condition.

Chandler West, who served as the White House deputy director of photography from January 2021 to May 2022, shared a candid opinion on social media. In an Instagram story, West wrote, "It's time for Joe to go."

He elaborated, saying, "They will say he has a 'cold' or just experienced a 'bad night,' but for weeks and months, in private, they have all said what we saw last night — Joe is not as strong as he was just a couple of years ago."

Biden's campaign attempted to downplay the concerns, describing the debate performance as merely a "slow start." However, this did little to quell the growing doubts about Biden's capabilities.

Vice President Kamala Harris was put on the spot in a tense post-debate interview with CNN's Anderson Cooper. "The person we saw tonight, the president we saw tonight on that stage: Is that how he is every day?" Cooper asked Harris.

"The Joe Biden that I work with every day is someone who, as I have said, has performed in a way that has been about bringing people into the Oval Office, Republicans, and Democrats, to compromise in a way that is extraordinary these days, because it just doesn't happen, but Joe Biden can make it happen," she responded, deflecting the question.

West's comments to Axios further fueled concerns. He stated, "The debate was not the first bad day, and it's not gonna be the last." Reporters have long complained about limited access to the president, suggesting that handlers are working hard to minimize unscripted interactions with the press.

Joe Biden's inner circle reportedly keeping his health condition under wraps

There is speculation that those closest to President Biden, particularly First Lady Jill Biden, have been shielding him since he took office. A former White House residence official told Axios that Jill Biden was "so protective of the president" and that her top aide, Anthony Bernal, "just protects her, and they often wouldn't let us do anything for them."

"The separation between the family and the residence staff was so big, so divided," the official said. "It's not supposed to be and usually isn't, even in the Trump White House."

From the early days of Biden’s presidency, there were indications that his inner circle was keeping his health issues under wraps.

An incident on July 4, 2021, where Biden retreated into the White House during a hot Independence Day celebration, raised eyebrows. The door was shut behind him, blocking staff from assisting him, which led to suspicions about the extent of his health issues.

A recent poll conducted by CBS News/YouGov revealed that 72 percent of voters doubt Biden's cognitive faculties for another term, a seven percent increase from a similar poll conducted earlier in June before the debate.

Former White House physician Rep Ronny Jackson (R-Texas) has been vocal about his concerns regarding Biden's cognitive and physical health. He suggested that the seven days of debate preparation at Camp David might have been an attempt to manage Biden’s condition with a drug regimen before the debate with Trump.

Internet says Joe Biden's health condition has been 'obvious'

West's revelations about Biden's condition were not surprising to many on social media.

"We have known for years," one posted on X.

"We knew he wasn't fit for the office when they hid him in the basement his entire campaign," another wrote.

"OMG, please. It's been OBVIOUS since 2019 to anyone with eyes. Stop acting like it was even possible to hide it. Can we get rid of the pathological liars now?" a comment read.

"They have been hiding Biden for years. Remember when the easter bunny stopped Biden from talking to reporters?" someone else recounted.

"Isn’t it odd how everyone that was protecting him is now turning on him? I’m sure it’s just a coincidence," another chimed in.
