Ozzy Osbourne prepares for farewell show as he confronts mortality amid ongoing health battle: Source
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Ozzy Osbourne, who has been struggling with mobility issues, is currently preparing for his "farewell show," as per a report by InTouch.
This comes after the 76-year-old rocker opened up about his ongoing health battles, including multiple surgeries and his fight with Parkinson's disease.
Earlier in October, he left fans heartbroken with a video showing him struggling to sign his name, his shaky hands visible as he scribbled his autograph on a white canvas.
Ozzy Osbourne is 'working very hard' to get ready for his farewell show
Sources close to Ozzy Osbourne have revealed to InTouch that the singer has been talking about his farewell show for some time.
"This isn’t some random idea – he has his heart set on it," the insider shared. Despite the challenges posed by his health issues, including Parkinson's disease, his family and friends are rallying together to make it happen.
The tipster added, "He’s working very hard to get ready and is very hopeful and determined, but only time will tell if he can truly pull this off or if it’s just a dream at this point, because the reality is he does have Parkinson’s, and it has progressed."
If Osbourne can find the strength to perform one last time, his former bandmates from Black Sabbath are fully committed to joining him on stage. "It will be extremely emotional, because of Ozzy’s decline, but they want to do it for him," the mole noted.
They further shared, "It’s like his curtain call. He is very aware of his mortality and that this will be his final show."
Osbourne last appeared on stage in September 2022 during the halftime of the NFL season opener between the Los Angeles Rams and the Buffalo Bills at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.
Ozzy Osbourne opens up about his health struggles
MEAWW previously reported that Ozzy Osbourne has undergone seven surgeries in the past five years, including a fourth spinal surgery in September 2023 following a fall in 2019.
The singer humorously opened up about his struggles during an interview with The Sun, saying, "I'm nearly f**king dead! I went to the doctor's and you assume everybody knows what they're doing. My son Jack has a video of me going into surgery, saying, 'I'll see you in a few minutes.' I haven't walked properly since."
He added, "I mean when I came off the quad bike in 2003, I still did tours and I had Parkinson's back then. It was THAT f*****g surgery."
Osbourne also discussed how his health issues have prevented him from traveling, saying, "I was supposed to come back a year ago but, because of my ill health and my disabilities, they won’t let me."
Ozzy Osbourne's Black Sabbath bandmate Geezer Butler 'excited' about his farewell concert
Ozzy Osbourne’s bandmate, Geezer Butler, recently told Life Minute that he would be back on stage with the legendary singer in a heartbeat if he is able to do it, as per In Touch.
Butler shared, "Ozzy was talking to me about, when he does his farewell concert, which he still wants to do, he’s dying to still get out there and play; and he suggested, at his very final concert, for the four of us to get up on stage and maybe do three or four songs together. And that would be it, finished."
Like his former bandmate, Osbourne also "gets so excited talking about it and planning it," as per the insider. They added, "He’s not in great shape but putting this concert together and having it to motivate him has been good, it’s given him something to look forward to."
