Paris Hilton says she's grateful for safety despite loss
Despite the destruction, Paris Hilton expressed gratitude for the recent rain, noting, “It’s just so scary with the fires and embers flying everywhere and starting other fires.”
Earlier this month, Hilton and her husband, Carter Reum, visited the site of their $8.4 million beachfront property, purchased in June 2021, only to find it reduced to rubble.
In a video shared on Instagram, nothing remained of their home except the front entrance and part of its foundation.
Hilton admitted that the most heartbreaking aspect of the loss was the sentimental value of the home.
"This house wasn’t just a place to live— It was where we dreamed, laughed, and created the most beautiful memories as a family," she said.
"It was where Phoenix’s little hands made art that I’ll cherish forever, where love and life filled every corner. To see it reduced to ashes… it’s devastating beyond words," she added.
“It’s just all of the memories there and all the sentimental things,” she said, reminiscing about the family’s art room where they created “really cute things.”
"It’s not just walls and roofs—it’s the memories that made those houses homes. It’s the photos, the keepsakes, the irreplaceable pieces of our lives," Hilton shared.
Paris Hilton's focus on family and moving forward
Paris Hilton emphasized that safety remains her top priority.
“The most important thing is that we’re all safe, and I’m grateful for that,” she noted. Hilton and Reum, who wed in November 2021, share two young children, son Phoenix, two, and daughter London, one.
