LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Paris Hilton, like several other celebrities, is finding hope and purpose through her family’s resilience in the aftermath of the devastating Los Angeles wildfires.

The 43-year-old DJ and entrepreneur recently revealed in an interview with TMZ that her 2-year-old son, Phoenix, has expressed an admirable dream for his future, as per People magazine.

Paris Hilton opens up about California wildfires 

“He said he wants to be a fireman,” Paris shared when asked about Phoenix’s career aspirations.

The heartfelt moment came as Hilton opened up about losing her Malibu home in the Pacific Palisades fire, which has left countless families, animals, and communities in California devastated.

Speaking about the wildfires toll, Hilton expressed her empathy for those affected.

She said, “I’m heartbroken for everybody who has lost everything. The families, the children, the animals—it’s just been heartbreaking to see what’s happened to California.”

The reality star also shared a touching story about fostering — and ultimately adopting — a dog named Zuzu.

“We love Zuzu. We’ve all just fallen in love with him," Paris said, adding that her family quickly bonded with the dog. The gesture reflects the family’s commitment to helping others during such a difficult time.

As for her own loss, Hilton has been candid about the emotional toll of seeing her Malibu home reduced to ashes.

On January 9, she posted a heartbreaking video of her house burning, alongside the caption, "Heartbroken beyond words.💔 Sitting with my family, watching the news, and seeing our home in Malibu burn to the ground on live TV is something no one should ever have to experience.😢 This home was where we built so many precious memories. In the next emotional Instagram post made on January 10, she shared footage of the wreckage and captioned: “I’m standing here in what used to be our home, and the heartbreak is truly indescribable. 💔🥺 This house wasn’t just a place to live—it was where we dreamed, laughed, and created the most beautiful memories as a family. The video revealed that only a few walls and the entranceway of the property remained, with the rest turned to rubble.

Hilton noted that the home had been a special place where Phoenix created cherished childhood memories, making the loss even harder to bear.

Paris also shared that her husband, Carter Reum, is handling the logistics of rebuilding their home while the family focuses on healing and supporting others.

The Pacific Palisades fire, which claimed Hilton’s home, is part of the larger wildfire crisis gripping California.

As of January 16, the death toll had risen to 27, and thousands remain under evacuation orders.
