Paul Walker's daughter Meadow wishes godfather Vin Diesel on his birthday by sharing adorable photo

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Meadow Walker wished her late father Paul Walker’s co-star Vin Diesel as the ‘Fast And Furious’ star turned 57 this Thursday, July 18. 

Meadow, who lovingly calls Diesel ‘Uncle Vin’ has once again proved that the actor not only happened to be her late father’s friend but also a father figure to the 25-year-old actress. 

When Paul passed away tragically in a car crash in 2013, aged 40, Meadow was just a 15-year-old child. However, her bond with her ‘Uncle Vin’ strengthened over time and he even walked her down the aisle during Meadow’s marriage to Louis Thornton-Allan in 2021.

Taking to her Instagram story on Thursday, the 25-year-old model wished her godfather by sharing an adorable picture of them together in front of the Colloseum at the Rome premiere of ‘Fast X’ last year.

She accompanied the photograph with the caption, “Happy birthday @vindiesel,” before adding, “I love you so much," per Daily Mail.

Previously, Meadow has even gushed about Diesel and said that he and his daughter Hania are like “family” to her in an Instagram post in 2021.

Meadow’s father, Paul Walker famously played the character of Brian O’Conner in seven films of the ‘Fast And Furious’ franchise. 

Following her father’s footsteps, Meadow - though predominantly a model - also tried her hands in acting and appeared in a small role in ‘Fast X’ that was released in 2023. 

Flushing about her small role as a flight attendant, she said in an interview per Daily Mail, “For me this is super exciting and he would be amazed that this is happening.”

Vin Diesel and Meadow share close bond

Diesel and Meadow have always shared a close bond between them. Gushing about her role in 'Fast X', the ' Guardians of the Galaxy' star said to People, "It did something to my soul, to see her want to honor her father and to contribute in her own way to his life's work." He added, "... It meant everything."

Previously, he also penned a sweet post on the occasion of Meadow's 21st birthday.

As the model celebrated her milestone birthday, Diesel posted a sweet message, writing, ''I could say that I am so proud of the person you are becoming... but the truth is I have always been proud of you. Happy Birthday Meadow!"

He continued, "I know it’s your 21st and you wanted to go big in Japan, but the family has a cake waiting for you when you get home, so hurry. Love you kid. Uncle Vin."
