Petition to remove Blake Lively from Time100 Most Influential People 2025 list crosses 1,000 signatures

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: A petition on Change.org started against Blake Lively has reportedly received more than 1,000 signatures before its April 26 target.
The petition, which demands Lively's name to be taken down, began after the 37-year-old actress was included in the list of ‘The 100 Most Influential People of 2025’ by the TIME Magazine for its April issue.
The platform said that “this is now one of the most signed petitions on the platform,” as it also revealed why the step was taken.

Change.org petition says if Justin Baldoni got punished without a trial, Blake Lively should too
Mentioning the Livley-Justin Baldoni legal drama, the petition, started by a user named "JM", stated that “around December 2024, actor and director Justin Baldoni had his award from the women’s organization Vital Voices rescinded immediately after Blake Lively made dubious and heinous claims.”
It claimed the decision was taken without any trial or evidence. It was “just instant public humiliation and execution.”

However, despite the ‘Gossip Girl’ star facing “serious legal allegations backed by evidence and facts for defamation, civil extortion, breach of implied-in-fact contract, promissory fraud, false light invasion of privacy, and more,” TIME honored her under the “Titan” category.
“This is not an admirable influence. This is manipulation,” the Change.org petition asserted, before adding, “We demand that TIME Magazine immediately revoke and rescind Blake Lively’s inclusion in the 2025 TIME100 list under the ‘Titan’ category. Accountability should go both ways.”

This came as Blake Lively paid tribute to her mother, Willie Elain McAlpin, at the Time100 Gala Thursday evening, April 24, which she attended with her husband Ryan Reynolds at Jazz at Lincoln Center.

During her five-minute speech, the mother-of-four said, as reported by Variety, “My life was influenced most by my mother, Willie Elain McAlpin, who’s here with me tonight, an eternal optimist who’s always leaving me messages, hoopin’ and hollerin’ sayin’, ‘Life’s just a bowl of cherries.’”
“My mom never got justice from her work acquaintance who attempted to take her life when she was the mother of three young kids—years before I was born,” she shared.
‘The Age of Adaline’ actress also appeared to address her ongoing battle with Baldoni.

She continued, “I have so much to say about the last two years of my life, but tonight is not the forum. I know the superpower of female triumph though. I have touched it, shaken hands with it. I’m looking at it in this room here right now.”

Calling her honor “a ridiculous joke,” she said, “She shouldn’t be here. She has no influence over anything,” as reported by Page Six.
“She’s lived to regret doing it because virtually every allegation she has made has fallen apart. And so for her to be honored for doing that, to try to ruin a man over absolutely nothing, is a scandal,” the political commentator claimed.
