Photo of Kamala Harris with 'Michelle' signs in background on Dems' X account triggers major speculation
WASHINGTON, DC: The official X account of The Democrats posted a photo of Presidential candidate Kamala Harris with several 'Michelle' signs in the background, ahead of the upcoming Democratic National Convention.
VP Harris is the new Democratic presidential nominee after President Joe Biden stepped down from the race in July following a dismal debate performance against GOP nominee Donald Trump.

Who’s excited? 🙋 pic.twitter.com/FHid9xSxpI
The post contained a picture of VP Harris with many 'Michelle' signboards covering the background. However, Raheem Kassam of the National Pulse gave the details about the photo and wrote, "For those wondering, this picture is from DNC 08, during Michelle Obama’s speech. It’s their way of telling you who is really in charge, as has been the case since 2008: the Obamas."

Harris secured enough votes to win the Democratic presidential nomination on Friday, August 2, and will become the first Black woman and first Asian American to lead a major-party ticket, according to CNN.
Harris said, "I am honored to be the presumptive Democratic nominee for president of the United States. I will officially accept your nomination next week, once the virtual voting period is closed."
She further added, "Later this month, we will gather in Chicago, united as one party, where we’re going to have an opportunity to celebrate this historic moment together."
Since only Harris was able to obtain the 300 delegates' signatures required to be eligible, her name is the only one on the ballot. Her campaign revealed on Friday that it had collected $310 million in its July fundraising efforts. The amount is significantly more than double what Trump’s political operation said it had raised last month.
