WASHINGTON, DC: Newly released photographs have offered the first visual account of the desperate emergency response outside Senator Lindsey Graham's Washington, DC, home on the night he died, showing a large team of first responders surrounding a stretcher as they fought to save the longtime Republican lawmaker.

The images, published exclusively by TMZ on Sunday, July 12, have intensified public interest in the senator's final hours, coming just a day after his office announced that he had died following what it described only as a "brief and sudden illness."

Chaotic rescue unfolds outside senator's residence

The photographs capture an intense late-night emergency scene outside Graham's Capitol Hill home.

Several emergency medical personnel can be seen clustered around a stretcher carrying a patient as they hurried toward a waiting ambulance.

Multiple responders appear to be administering emergency treatment while others assist with the transport.

Emergency vehicles, including an ambulance, are visible outside the residence as the rescue operation unfolded under the lights of first responders' equipment.

The dramatic images mark the first public look at the medical emergency that unfolded before Graham was taken from his home.

The exclusive images show what appears to be an urgent attempt to keep Graham alive, but they do not explain what triggered the medical emergency or why Graham's condition deteriorated so suddenly.

911 recording reveals desperate last moments

The release of the photographs comes just hours after emergency dispatch audio shed further light on what happened before paramedics reached Graham.

According to the recordings, emergency crews were sent to Graham's Washington address shortly after 8.30 pm following reports of chest pain and a possible cardiac arrest.

The caller, who was reportedly traveling from Baltimore, told dispatchers they believed the home's front door had been left unlocked.

Instead, first responders encountered a locked residence.

The recordings capture the dispatcher asking whether anyone inside had responded.

The response was immediate. "Yes, repeatedly." Despite repeated attempts to make contact, nobody answered.

Emergency personnel eventually gained entry to the home and immediately began CPR after reaching the patient inside.

While portions of the dispatch communications were censored, the words "cardiac arrest" can clearly be heard during the exchange.

Trump honors Lindsey Graham

President Donald Trump later revealed he had spoken with Graham by telephone the night before the senator died.

According to Trump, nothing during that conversation suggested Graham was facing a serious medical crisis.

The president later honored his longtime ally in a Truth Social post, describing Graham as "one of the greatest people and Senators I have ever known."

The two Republicans had worked closely for years on issues ranging from foreign policy to national security, with Graham often serving as one of Trump's strongest allies in the Senate.
