Prince George's 'friendship bracelet' in birthday photo has fans calling him a Swiftie
LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM: Prince George, who recently marked his 11th birthday with a new photo, has captured headlines once again after fans noticed his bracelet, which they believe may be connected to Taylor Swift's friendship bracelets.
Last month, for his 42nd birthday on June 21, Prince William took Prince George and Princess Charlotte, 9, to Taylor Swift's Eras Tour in London, where they had the opportunity to meet the pop star and her boyfriend, Travis Kelce.
The rare selfies of the royal family with Swift, shared on Instagram, showed the children with beaming smiles. A few weeks later, George, Charlotte and King Charles were seen wearing string bracelets.

Friendship bracelets, particularly beaded ones, have become a pop culture phenomenon thanks to Swift’s global Eras Tour.
This trend was inspired by lyrics from a song on her 2022 album Midnights. Swift sings, "So make the friendship bracelets. Take the moment and taste it. You’ve got no reason to be afraid."
On July 14, both George and Charlotte were spotted sporting string bracelets during separate sporting events with their parents, William and Kate, as per People.
George and William attended the UEFA European Championship match between England and Spain in Germany. During the game, a multicolor string bracelet was visible on George's left wrist as he and his father cheered and reacted to Spain's 2-1 victory.
On the same day, Princess Charlotte enjoyed a day out with her mother, Princess Kate, 42, and her aunt, Pippa Middleton, at the Wimbledon Tennis Championships. Charlotte wore two string bracelets (one pale pink and one blue) on her right arm.
King Charles has also been spotted wearing string bracelets. He was first seen with a red and yellow twisted string bracelet during his visit to Wales with Queen Camilla on July 11, as he waved while entering the Senedd, the Welsh Parliament.

The 75-year-old monarch was photographed wearing the bracelet again in the Channel Islands of Jersey and Guernsey on July 15 and 16, and at the State Opening of Parliament on July 17.
Although the monarch’s accessory doesn’t exactly match those of his grandchildren, it is noteworthy that all three royals began wearing these bracelets around the same time.
Prince George's eagle-eyed fans spark discussion over his friendship bracelet
After fans spotted the hidden Swiftie tribute in Prince George's birthday portrait, they flocked to the comment section to share their thoughts and ask questions.
One user questioned, "Do you think we'll see more of his personal style as he grows up?"
The other Facebook user wrote, "This is not a Swiftie bracelet, that of Taylor Swift is made of beads with the name of her album inscribed on it. The friendship bracelet worn by the king and his grandchildren "Charlotte and George" is made of woven threads, its a gift the king did for himself and William's children to show the bond between them, it has nothing to do with Taylor Swift"
The third user said, “Is he wearing the same bracelet Charles has been recently seen wearing? 👀 (or a similar one)
The last user shared, “I think he's wearing a bracelet like Charlotte's, she was wearing it at Wimbledon. Charles' bracelet is an older one, he has had it for a long time.”
