LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s glamorous date night at Game 4 of the World Series on Tuesday, October 28, didn’t sit well with die-hard Los Angeles Dodgers fans, who accused the royal couple of stealing the spotlight and the best seats from the Los Angeles baseball icons.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were spotted sitting front row at Dodger Stadium, in highly coveted seats worth tens of thousands of dollars. The pair were shown multiple times on Fox’s live broadcast, smiling and clapping as they soaked in the electric atmosphere.

Harry and Meghan slammed over ‘royal treatment’ over LA legends

Many Dodgers fans quickly noticed that some of LA’s most celebrated figures, including the team's part-owner Magic Johnson and Hall of Fame pitcher Sandy Koufax, were seated directly behind the royal couple, sparking outrage among longtime supporters.

One user on X (formerly Twitter) commented, "The real royalty is right behind them."

Another said, "So that’s why we are losing."

A person remarked, "No wonder we’re losing. Bunch of jinxes at this game."

"In case anyone needed another reason to root against the Dodgers," one more said.

An individual expressed, "Sandy Koufax is baseball royalty. Please do not bring these posers into my feed."

"They are still doing their 'we want privacy' tour," another tweet read.

Meghan sat on Harry's right in the front row of the crowd, in a highly sought-after seat directly behind the pitch clock. According to reports, it remains unclear whether the couple paid for their prime seats or were invited as VIP guests by the Dodgers.

MLB’s official social media account even posted a clip of the couple being escorted into the stadium by security, greeting fans along the way.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s LA loyalty questioned over Canadian ties

While the Sussexes’ appearance was meant to show their LA pride, it also raised eyebrows, given their long-standing ties to Canada.

Meghan lived in Toronto for seven years while filming ‘Suits’, famously calling it “like my home” in a 2015 interview.

Prince Harry, too, has deep connections with Canada through his military training and as part of the Commonwealth, where his father, King Charles, remains head of state.

Star-studded crowd and family life in the spotlight

The star-studded game also featured actors James Marsden, Austin Butler, Tobey Maguire, and Sydney Sweeney, whose pregame video sparked uproar. Still, it was the Sussexes who dominated camera time, further fueling irritation among locals.

The couple’s high-profile appearance came just days after Meghan shared rare family footage from a pumpkin patch outing with their children, Archie and Lilibet, in Santa Barbara. The heartwarming video, posted to Instagram, showed the family carving pumpkins and enjoying the Halloween spirit at their Montecito home.

Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland, and close friend Markus Anderson, affectionately nicknamed her "second husband," also appeared in the clip. Anderson has reportedly become an even closer fixture in the couple’s lives, frequently accompanying Meghan to Disneyland, Paris Fashion Week, and now family gatherings at their Montecito mansion.
