Prince Harry and Meghan Markle 'living separate lives' as he tries to carve out his career: Royal expert
MONTECITO, CALIFORNIA: Prince Harry and Meghan Markle could possibly move in different directions and live "more separate lives" to further their individual careers, according to insiders.
The Duke of Sussex has recently made several solo public appearances without the Duchess leading some royal observers to speculate that this new phase of Harry's life might be more focused on his own goals.
Royal expert says Prince Harry 'wants more fulfilling roles for himself'
The usually devoted couple have had some time apart since Prince Harry's boys' trip to celebrate his 40th birthday earlier in September.
The Duke also showed up by himself at a charity event in California after Meghan Markle abruptly withdrew having fallen sick. Harry again attended a black-tie event arranged by the World Health Organization on Saturday, September 21 without Meghan by his side.
Given Harry's recent solo public appearances, royal expert Phil Dampier told The Sun, "It is significant that he is doing so much on his own now. They are living more separate lives as it looks like Harry is trying to carve out what exactly his future is. I suspect Harry has been feeling very much like a spare part."
The royal expert said of Harry, "He wants more fulfilling roles for himself so we may well be seeing more of him here."
Harry celebrated his "kind and funny" children, Prince Archie, five, and Princess Lilibet, three, in a statement released prior to his birthday, omitting any mention of Meghan.
Prince Harry's brazen solo move demonstrates that he is 'in his element' without Meghan Markle
According to a body language expert, Prince Harry appeared like a Hollywood star and was "in his element" without Meghan Markle by his side at the Santa Barbara One805Live! annual charity gala for first responders.
Body language expert Judi James claimed that Harry enjoyed the spotlight and spilled to The Mirror, "Harry's body language here suggests that he is totally in his element and delighted to be soaking up or even surfing the on-stage adulation from the A-list audience like a star of the show."
"His open jacket; his gleefully beaming smile at the audience, and that cheeky, knowing, thumbs-up gesture all suggest he is in full show-boating mode here, like some of his 'rock star' style appearances on stage when he first arrived in the US," added James.
She continued, "While the two award recipients stand together looking tentative, Harry is in full splay mode, stretching an arm out to grab one man on the shoulder in a very informal display of recognition."
"His hand mic, that signal of who is in charge, is held high to his face, which is turned upward and away, with his head tilted and his chest puffed to suggest a moment of complete confidence during this solo outing," observed the body language expert.
James further noted, "In 2023, Harry and Meghan were seen at this event in a series of awkward-looking poses from Harry and a tricky microphone moment from Meghan, but this year his status and level of involvement looks clearer and his mic management far more adept."
Harry is currently in New York City for the UN General Assembly High-level Week and Climate Week. On Monday, Septmeber 23, he spoke at a symposium hosted by Concordia about the Diana Award, which honors emerging leaders and is named after his late mother Princess Diana.
