“Voting is not just a right; it’s a fundamental way to influence the fate of our communities,” the statement read, accompanied by photos of the Archewell team’s volunteer efforts.

"At The Archewell Foundation, we recognize that civic engagement, no matter one’s political party, is at the heart of a more just and equitable world. By participating in initiatives like this, we aim to amplify the message that every voice matters," the statement continued.

The message encouraged participation in the voting process and provided links to resources such as Vote Forward and Vote.gov for further information, according to People.

The Archewell Foundation's statement concluded with, "Let’s work together to ensure every eligible voter is informed and empowered to help shape America’s future.”

This is not the first time Harry and Meghan have been vocal about the significance of voting. In September 2020, they made a notable appearance in a video broadcast by ABC during the TIME100 special. This marked their first joint television appearance since stepping back from their royal duties and moving to California.

In the video, Meghan emphasized the critical nature of the upcoming election, saying, "Every four years we are told the same thing, that this is the most important election of our lifetime. But this one is."

"When we vote, our values are put into action and our voices are heard. Your voice is a reminder that you matter, because you do, and you deserve to be heard," Meghan said.

Prince Harry, who has never been able to vote in the UK due to the British royal family's tradition of political neutrality, supported Meghan's call to action by stressing the importance of rejecting hate speech and misinformation. Meghan, despite her inability to vote in the US at the time, expressed her commitment to the democratic process and encouraged others to exercise their voting rights.

In the 2020 election cycle, Meghan made history as the first royal family member to vote in a US presidential election.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex's recent statement, promoting voter registration and participation through their Archewell Foundation, has been met with a range of reactions.

One critic expressed strong disapproval, writing, "A foreign prince speaking about a U.S. election is disgusting!! He has no business and no place in ANY U.S. election conversation." Another user showed similar concerns, stating, "Foreign Influence in U.S. Elections, U.S. law, specifically the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA) and the Federal Election Campaign Act, prohibits foreign nationals from contributing financially or influencing U.S. elections."

The backlash continued with demands for the couple’s titles to be stripped. One user described, "A member of the British Royal Family politicising themselves in a foreign country..? Crass. Unprecedented. One is not amused. STRIP THEIR TITLES," while another questioned their relevance, saying, "What’s hilarious is the fact they believe that their opinions matter…"

A user commented, "No thanks Meghan. Nobody is interested in hearing your voice! As for Haz he is still British & doesn’t know how to vote!"

Another added, "Except if you’re a foreign born prince who has no right to interfere with American elections and politics."

"What a joke! Take their titles away!!! So sick of these two nasty humans!," a user wrote.
