LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were reportedly mocked at Netflix's new launch event in Los Angeles on January 29.

Considered Netflix's best-known collaborator, Markle was barely mentioned during the event even when her Netflix show 'With Love, Meghan' is due for launch in March.

John Mulaney jokes about Harry and Meghan Markle's Netflix deal

Comedian John Mulaney, whose new live talk show premieres on March 12, just days after Meghan Markle's series, joked about the couple’s Netflix deal during the high-profile event.

"This will be the one place where you [might] see Arnold Schwarzenegger sitting next to Nikki Glaser sitting next to a family therapist with music by Mannequin Pussy,” Mulaney said.

“This is a really fun experiment. Not since Harry and Meghan has Netflix given more money to someone without a specific plan,” he added.

The audience reacted with “snickering and a few ‘whoas,’” according to a Daily Mail source present at the event.

Hollywood insider calls Netflix’s treatment of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle ‘shocking’

A Hollywood insider at the event expressed surprise over Netflix seemingly allowing Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to be ridiculed.

The insider noted that filmmaker Tyler Perry, who famously lent his Los Angeles home to Harry and Meghan after they left the royal family, received a mention.

"Even film-maker Tyler Perry, the guy who loaned his LA house to the Sussexes after Megxit, got a mention," the insider said.

“It really felt like Netflix don’t give a d**n,” she added.

"It was shocking to me that Netflix would seemingly allow Meghan and Harry to be ridiculed at such a prestige event,” she told the publication.

“The head honchos were all there. And how strange that a show by the couple who signed a multi-million dollar deal with Netflix barely featured – apart from one brief clip in a montage," she added.

Is Netflix re-editing Meghan Markle's 'With Love, Meghan'?

'With Love, Meghan', a cookery and lifestyle show and potentially her last was originally scheduled for launch in January 2025.

Meghan Markle, 43, latest collaboration coincided with her return to Instagram on January 1. The launch was delayed due to the Los Angeles Wildfires, as per Netflix.

Meghan made her first post, a video of her on a beach near her Montecito, California, home shot by her husband, Prince Harry.

In the video, Meghan writes '2025' in the sand before running off camera. Insiders, however, told Daily Mail that the series is being re-edited.
