While Prince Harry recently dismissed speculation about their relationship, insiders suggest the couple is working actively to strengthen their bond.

A source shared, "It feels very much a case of 'he who doth protest too much. Everyone has noticed they're rarely together anymore."

The pair, who have faced scrutiny over spending more time apart due to individual travel commitments, are reportedly taking steps to reignite their romance.

According to a source, "They're very clear they are not divorcing and just as committed as ever, but that doesn't mean there aren't some areas they want to, and need to, work on. One thing that has really fallen by the wayside is the romance, and they've vowed to tackle that proactively."

Meghan, 43, is leading the charge to carve out quality time with Harry, 40. Plans are reportedly in motion for intimate trips without their children, Prince Archie, five, and Princess Lilibet, three, to prioritize their connection.

"They're really going to carve out the time," a source shared, adding "They need to, otherwise their schedules get so jammed. They've also vowed to stay patient when it comes to the palace, which can get them worked up. They're not going to sweat that stuff anymore."

While Prince Harry maintains a contentious relationship with the royal family, Meghan is said to be steering the couple away from such discussions, opting instead for a more California-inspired, therapeutic approach to navigating stress.

The insider shared, "Of course she'll move heaven and earth to avoid divorce. A custody case would be way too messy to comprehend, and thanks to Harry's family he has endless means. Meghan will be making it very clear that no matter how stressful life in the US gets, divorce is not an option."

Prince Harry joked about divorce rumors, dismissing speculation at New York Times Summit

At a recent New York Times DealBook Summit 2024 on December 4, Harry humorously dismissed rumors about their marriage and living arrangements, joking, “Apparently, we’ve divorced 10 or 12 times now. It’s hard to keep up.”

The rumors gained traction after Meghan attended the Children’s Hospital LA Gala solo, dazzling in a red dress while Prince Harry appeared separately at other events. However, Harry was quick to clarify that their independent schedules do not signal marital strife.

During his conversation with DealBook founder Andrew Ross Sorkin, Harry discussed the broader issues of media misinformation and its impact on public perception. When asked about the growing interest in his and Meghan’s separate engagements, Harry defused the tension with a witty remark, saying, “Because you invited me, you should have known!”

Harry went on to address the speculation directly, adding, “Apparently we’ve moved house 10, 12 times. We’ve apparently divorced maybe 10, 12 times as well. So it’s just like, what?” He expressed sympathy for online trolls who perpetuate such rumors, humorously noting, “Their hopes are built and built, and then it doesn’t happen. I feel sorry for them. Genuinely, I do.”

Beyond addressing rumors, Harry acknowledged the toll of media scrutiny, even apologizing to Sorkin for any backlash the interviewer might face. “This interview will likely be spun or twisted somehow against me, and maybe you yourself will be trolled relentlessly,” he said, adding “For that, I can only apologize but you did invite me, so it’s not my fault.”
