Prince Harry called 'deplorable and nasty' by experts for attacking royal family in 'Spare' to make money
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have been blasted by two experts called the Duke of Sussex "stupid" for attacking the royal family to make money in his memoir titled 'Spare'.
Veteran royal correspondent Jennie Bond and royal photographer Arthur Edwards recently sat down with The Sun's Matt Wilkinson for a 'Royal Exclusive Live' show. During the conversation, Bond, “It was deplorable and stupid - I think he was a very silly boy to write Spare.”
The journalist also asserted, “He’s done the bloodletting, now we want to move on.”
The 2023 memoir of the Duke of Sussex, ghostwritten by JR Moehringer, reportedly made numerous explosive revelations about the royal family, further damaging his relationship with his family. The father-of-two also faced a lot of backlash over it.
Prince Harry accused of damaging royal family’s reputation
Agreeing with Bond, longtime Sun royal snapper Edwards shared, “He wanted to leave the royal family and he wanted to live in America with Meghan - that's his choice.”
“But then to go and start being really nasty about the royal family just to make money…” he stated, before adding, “When Edward VIII abdicated and became the Duke of Windsor he went abroad too.”
“But he never, ever said anything about the royal family - he might have met Hitler but he didn't say a bit about the royal family,” the photographer added.
Royal author dismisses rumor about Harry and Meghan’s marriage troubles
The interview comes amid rumors that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are living separate lives.
Lately, the Duke of Sussex has gone on many trips without his wife. He even celebrated his 40th birthday without the former actress and their children.
But as per royal author Ingrid Seward, “There's no sign of Meghan because I think Harry knows that he does these things best on his own,” OK! Magazine reported.
She continued, “I mean, there's no point in him taking Meghan to Lesotho. Harry, or maybe his advisers have said to him, you need to raise your own profile and do it by doing what you do best, which is working with children and the disadvantaged.
“He's always been brilliant at that. I feel that he needs to get out more because when he does speak when he's actually giving a talk, he's very eloquent.”
“From this Lesotho trip, I couldn't quite get what he was trying to do. Maybe he was just trying to raise the profile of the charity, but it much better for him to do it without his wife because otherwise attention's deflected onto her and what she's wearing,” Seward added.
