LONDON, ENGLAND: While Prince Harry is still not on good terms with the royal family, the Duke of Sussex seemed caught off guard when questioned about Kate Middleton and King Charles' cancer struggles.

Prince Harry at loss of words when questioned about Kate Middleton and King Charles' cancer struggles

Along with other famous individuals like Hugh Grant and Charlotte Church, Prince Harry appeared in the documentary 'Tabloids on Trial', which examines the royal family's battle against the British tabloids.

An ITV reporter questioned the Duke about the King and the Princess of Wales, who are both battling cancer, after he had talked about his legal fights in the UK against the British press.

Journalist Rebecca Barry said to Harry: "Both your father and your sister-in-law have been unwell. It's a reminder, I guess, to all of us that life is precious."

"Does it ever just make you think, 'This is not worth it. Life is just too short for these legal battles?'" asked Barry.

Prince Harry stammered through his response, visibly taken aback by the question. The 39-year-old stated: "I don't think the legal, the continuation of these legal battles is the sort of, I... The two things are completely separate."

"Umm, you know, my father and my sister-in-law, and me, you know, following through on these legal battles are two completely different things," Harry added.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle sent out heartfelt message following Kate Middleton's cancer diagnosis

Not long after Kate Middleton posted a health update on Instagram, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle sent out a kind statement.

Though Harry and Meghan are not communicating with Kate and Prince William, a source earlier revealed to OK! Magazine that they wish the future queen gets well.

A source said, "Both Harry and Meghan have been following Kate’s recovery with huge interest, but, sadly, it’s had to be more from afar because their lines of communication with the palace and the Waleses, in particular, are very limited, to say the least."

"They have had enough information to know that people are excited about the idea of a comeback for Kate, and they’re both relieved and happy to hear that she’s on the mend and may soon be well enough to return to her duties."

The insider further said of Harry and Meghan, "They’ve jointly reached out to send well-wishes, but they’re still not really in a place with Kate to warrant much of a response."

However, the source acknowledged that that the Wales' seclusion "hasn’t stopped them from trying to connect".

Despite living far away from his family, an insider claimed that Harry got in touch with Kate following her standing ovation at Wimbledon. The insider noted that "Harry is convinced" that they should "try and repair" their friendship at this time.
