MONTECITO, CALIFORNIA: Meghan Markle's hostility toward Donald Trump may be influencing Prince Harry’s strained relationship with the US president-elect, according to royal photographer Arthur Edwards. Edwards suggests that, had Prince Harry still been a part of the British royal family, he might have gotten along with Trump.

These comments come on the heels of a meeting between Prince William and Donald Trump at the reopening of Notre Dame in Paris, sparking further speculation about the dynamics between the royals and the former president.

On a recent episode of The Sun's 'Royal Exclusive', royal photographer Arthur Edwards shared his thoughts on Prince Harry's strained relationship with Donald Trump. He noted that both Harry and Meghan have had issues with Trump, saying, "I think it's quite well known that Harry and Meghan don't particularly get on with Donald Trump."

Edwards further explained that Meghan's dislike of Trump is likely the reason for Harry's own animosity, stating, "I think Meghan doesn't get on with him. That's probably why Harry doesn't get on with him." However, he emphasized that Harry is generally an affable person, adding, "Harry is a pretty affable guy and if it were necessary he would obviously get on with Trump."

The expert also discussed how Harry would have handled the situation had he still been working with the royal family. He said, "If he was here working with the royal family and Trump made an official visit, Harry would do his job and do it properly."

He explained, "You're dealing with the President of the United States, a very powerful role. It doesn't matter who's the president - he's the elected representative of most powerful country in the world." Edwards concluded, "He's the leader of the free world - a man you should respect and cater for."

Donald Trump met with Prince William last week in Paris during the reopening of Notre-Dame Cathedral on Saturday, December 7, which had been severely damaged by a fire in 2019 that destroyed much of its heritage.

This visit marked William's first trip to Paris since 2017 and his first meeting with Trump in five years, following their last encounter in the UK in 2019.

After the two-hour conversation between Prince William and Donald Trump in the Salon Jaune room, the US president-elect praised William’s appearance, calling him a "good-looking guy". He added, "He looked really, very handsome last night. Some people look better in person? He looked great. He looked really nice, and I told him that," according to the New York Post.

Trump also shared details of their discussion, saying, "I asked him about his wife and he said she's doing well. And I asked him about his father and his father is fighting very hard, and he loves his father and he loves his wife, so it was sad."

The Notre-Dame reopening, which followed a lengthy restoration that spanned over 60 months and cost a whopping 600 million euros ($630M), was attended by several distinguished figures, as per The US Sun.
