Prince William and Kate Middleton 'disgusted' over Harry’s huge royal inheritance amid family feud
LONDON, ENGLAND: Prince William and Kate Middleton are allegedly shaking their heads over Prince Harry’s upcoming inheritance of $8.5 million when he celebrates his milestone 40th birthday.
Sources close to the Prince and Princess of Wales recently shared that the future monarch is reportedly “disgusted” over the whopping amount that his younger sibling is set to receive once he touches his milestone birthday.
Earlier, it was also reported that the inheritance that Harry is to receive from his late great-grandmother Queen Mother Elizabeth would be greater than what Prince William bagged when turned 40.
Prince William and Kate Middleton are unhappy with Prince Harry’s inheritance
The Duke of Sussex will be turning 40 on September 15 and will be celebrating his birthday while also getting richer by $8.5 million because of a trust fund set up by Queen Elizabeth's mother.
Earlier the Quen Mother set aside $90 million for the younger royals of her household. When the Queen Mother, also called Queen Elizabeth, put the money aside, she made arrangements for Harry to receive the amount when turns 40.
However, sources close to the Waleses are saying that William and Kate are not happy at the prospect that the rebel duke should be getting the whopping amount.
Recently, sources close to the pair, shared, “William’s pretty disgusted that once again Harry’s going to be cashing out and taking millions back to his Montecito home without lifting a finger for it," per New York Post.
They continued, “There’s nothing he can do about it, aside from shaking his head, but if it were up to him, Harry would not be getting this payday.”
“William doesn’t think his brother is in any position to be getting this handout and he’s letting it be known that he thinks it’s a pretty rotten situation,” noted the insider.
The insider further continued to propound that William believes Harry is “being rewarded after the terrible treatment he’s shown them all.”
“William and Kate don’t trust Harry or Meghan one bit, so the idea that Harry’s now cashing in on his great-granny’s inheritance leaves a very bitter taste in their mouths,” added the source.
Prince Harry's relationship with King Charles in jeopardy
Meanwhile, the royal commentator Tom Quinn has theorized that Harry’s relationship with his father King Charles has soured in recent years as well.
Though he initially thought the British monarch would forgive him for his cutting remarks in his book ‘Spare’, in reality, the grievances go deeper than that.
Per OK! Magazine, Quinn said, "Despite all his criticisms, Harry always assumed he would be forgiven by his father. He thought Charles would make amends for the hurt that - in Harry’s view – justified the criticisms.”
Royal author Christopher Anderson previously said that he believed Harry’s slander against Queen Camilla may have caused the rift to widen.
Anderson said, "When Harry branded his stepmother Camilla a 'villain' in his book and revealed that both he and William initially begged their father not to marry her, Harry committed what Charles regards as a cardinal sin.”
"No one disses Camilla in royal circles and gets away with it – not even a son of the king," shared Anderson.
