Prince William makes witty remark to a royal fan during Glasgow visit
During the event, Kate Middleton officially named HMS Glasgow as she smashed a bottle of local Scottish whisky against its hull. She wore a navy and white $2,505 coat dress from British brand Suzannah London, along with a matching statement hat from Philip Treacy, first worn at Trooping the Colour in 2024, per the outlet.
Interestingly, as the couple left, a fan from the crowd told the Princess of Wales, "You're beautiful!"
The fan soon quipped and added, "You too, William!" in an effort not to leave her husband out.
Meanwhile, surprised by the compliment, Prince William replied, "You don't have to say that, don't worry!"

Prince William's hilarious comeback made the crowd burst into laughter, as the couple bid goodbye after a busy afternoon.
Earlier in the day, Kate stepped onto a podium in front of several hundred BAE employees, their families, and the 45-strong ship's company.
The Princess of Wales said, "I have the pleasure to name this ship HMS Glasgow, may God bless her and all who sail on her."
She then flicked up a small red "launch" button to release a bottle of exclusive single malt whisky made by the nearby Clydeside Distillery, per the outlet.

Following the naming ceremony, Prince William and Kate stepped aboard to meet representatives from BAE Systems who have been leading the delivery of the vessel, and others from the Royal Navy to discuss the ship's capabilities.
Soon after, the Prince and Princess were driven down the road to the BAE Systems' Shipbuilding Academy to meet apprentices and graduates, according to the Daily Mail.
Prince William warns Kate Middleton that anything said to Prince Harry 'could be twisted'
Kate Middleton is reportedly facing pressure from Prince William to cut contact with Prince Harry after the Duke of Sussex's remarks about the royal family.
The fallout has been caused by Harry's recent BBC interview, where he criticized the UK establishment and touched on his strained relationship with his father, King Charles.

Tensions reportedly reignited between Prince Harry and the rest of the family as he claimed that he lost his legal challenge for taxpayer-funded security due "establishment stitch-up", while also touching on King Charles' remaining days.
An insider informed Radar Online that Prince William is "absolutely fuming" about the remarks and is determined to shield Kate from further fallout.
The source said, "William is furious that Harry’s speaking out again and doing interviews — he’s convinced this isn’t the end of it."
According to the outlet, the Prince of Wales has made it "clear" to the rest of the family that they should "keep their distance" from both Harry and Meghan Markle, as "anything shared could be turned against them."
"William doesn’t like having to put his foot down with Kate, but he sees this as necessary to protect everyone," the insider added.
The source also mentioned that the most William is worried about is that "anything Kate says to Harry could be twisted or resurface later — especially if there’s another book, or if Meghan decides to tell her own side of the story."
