KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI: Travis Kelce is gearing up to produce his second film project, reportedly a documentary about artist Jean-Michel Basquiat. However, some people on social media weren't pleased with the Kansas City Chiefs star taking on this new role.

Recently, Kelce caught the attention of Taylor Swift's fans, the Swifties, when he wore an outfit that seemed to be inspired by her upcoming album, 'The Tortured Poets Department'.

Fans noticed the similarities between Kelce's shirt, which featured hues of gray, black, and white, and the color palette Swift has been using in her recent Instagram posts to promote the album.

Kelce, the renowned tight end for the Chiefs, is branching out into film production. People Magazine reports that he's taking on the role of producer for a documentary about the iconic American artist Basquiat.

Kelce's venture into film isn't new. He surprised many by producing the American war-comedy film 'My Dear Friend Zoe'. Directed by Kyle Hausmann-Stokes and featuring stars like Sonequa Martin-Green and Morgan Freeman, the film is set to premiere at the South by Southwest (SXSW) Film Festival on March 9.

For his latest project, titled 'King Pleasure', Kelce is collaborating with his 'My Dear Friend Zoe' co-producers Ray Maiello and Mike Field, according to ARTNews. The film, led by Quinn Wilson, will explore Basquiat's life with full cooperation from the artist's estate.

Basquiat's estate, overseen by his sisters Lisane Basquiat and Jeanine Heriveaux, along with their stepmother, Nora Firtzpatrick, has provided access to archival material and original works of art. This promises a unique blend of never-before-seen footage, photographs, animation, and interviews, Deadline reports.

Basquiat rose to prominence in the 1980s. His artworks, famous for their mysterious messages and vibrant colors, still captivate audiences worldwide. NPR highlights that in 2017, one of his paintings sold for a staggering $110.5 million, showcasing his enduring impact.

The documentary's filming is set to kick off in the summer, as reported by Deadline.
