Investors took advantage of the act, which allotted funds from the sale of surplus tax credits by entrepreneur Mike Field, who is also a producer of the film. The innovative financing allowed the production to tap into tax credits intended to spur growth in domestic clean energy manufacturing and advance environmental justice.

While Kelce briefly ventured into show business by hosting 'Saturday Night Live' in March 2023, 'My Dead Friend Zoe' marks his first major foray behind the scenes in Hollywood.

'My Dead Friend Zoe' explores relationships across generations

'My Dead Friend Zoe' boasts a stellar cast including Sonequa Martin-Green, Natalie Morales, Ed Harris, Morgan Freeman, Utkarsh Ambudkar, and Gloria Reuben.

The film, co-written by Hausmann-Stokes and AJ Bermudez, follows the engaging story of a female Afghanistan veteran entangled in a mysterious relationship with her wisecracking, deceased best friend from the Army. Reluctantly, she reunites with her estranged Vietnam vet grandfather at the family's ancestral lake house.

Hausmann-Stokes, who enlisted a month before 9/11 and served five years in the US Army as a paratrooper, adds a personal touch to the film, promising a unique perspective and narrative depth in his directorial debut.
