LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Social media users are bashing Lady Gaga as the singer recently revealed that she hit the stage for some of her '2022 Chromatica Ball tour' dates despite testing positive for COVID-19.

The 'Poker Face' singer made the revelation during a Q&A in Los Angeles on Thursday, May 23, where she was celebrating the premiere of her 'Gaga Chromatica Ball'  concert special, debuting on HBO.

What did Lady Gaga say?

In a video posted on TikTok, Gaga told moderator Scott Evans of Access Hollywood, "I did five shows with COVID."

She explained that regarding performing with COVID, "I shared it with everyone on my team," adding, "I told them, 'I don't want anyone to feel uncomfortable at work."

"You don't have to perform, and you don't have to work that day, but I'm gonna do the show' because I didn't want to let the fans down… The way I saw it, the fans were putting themselves in harm's way every day by coming to the shows. So, you know…," she stated.

The 38-year-old singer further said, "During all my quick changes, I kept going, 'I'm sorry! I'm sorry!'"

The Grammy winner did not disclose details about the security measures her team provided for employees and spectators.

According to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), 244,000 deaths in the US were linked to COVID-19 in 2022 alone.

Lady Gaga slammed for performing with Covid

Several social media users bashed Lady Gaga for putting her fans' lives at risk.

An Instagram user said, "Considering she's chronically ill herself this is especially messed up. Why is it so often those of us who've tried to keep

safe who end up with LC & people like this can get it a million times and spread it around without a care and don't get LC I'm so exhausted."

Another user said, "I've only caught Covid once and ended up with LC. Her actions were so irresponsible! That's all I have the energy to say about this!"

The next user said, "This is disgusting. Don't want to let fans down but instead she is happy to possibly disable them. She has a chronic illness already, so I'm surprised she doesn't have better awareness. Truely disappointed." [sic]

A user said, "It's so messed up. If literally everyone could experience LC for a week they would probably not behave this way. It's atrocious."

A user said, "This is unbelivable to put your fans in such danger. & Long Covid and mecfs is hell and she risked her fans to get chronically very ill." [sic]

Another user said, "Put her in prison."
