In the interview, Quincy Jones, who reflected on his encounter with Ivanka Trump, said, “Wrong father, though,” referring to former president Donald Trump.
The music icon, then 73, recounted that designer Tommy Hilfiger had arranged the date after his daughter Kidada, a former model, mentioned Ivanka’s interest in meeting him.
The former president's daughter, who was 25 at the time, has neither confirmed nor denied Jones' claim and at the time of the interview, she was serving as an advisor to her father in the White House.
During that same interview with New York magazine, Jones openly criticized Donald Trump, calling him a “crazy m**********r” and a “megalomaniac narcissist.”
