Quinta Brunson reveals she was 'scared' to sit next to Donald Trump at 2025 Super Bowl

MANHATTAN, NEW YORK: 'Abbott Elementary' creator Quinta Brunson was low-key terrified about being seated next to President Donald Trump at the 2025 Super Bowl.
On the Monday, April 21, episode of 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!', the Emmy-winning writer and actress recounted her chaotic emotions ahead of the game.
Quinta Brunson recalls 2025 Super Bowl seating scare
“When we got there, we were walking to our suite and I see a Secret Service person and I was scared, because they said that somebody was gonna be there who is currently running the country,” Quinta Brunson told host Jimmy Kimmel without explicitly naming Donald Trump, as per OK! Magazine.
“And I was like, ‘There’s no way they put me in a [suite with him],’” she explained, as the late-night host burst into laughter

“You don’t have to… There’s no way on Earth. And why would the universe make me choose between that and the Eagles?” Brunson added.
Trump became the first sitting president to ever attend a Super Bowl game as he witnessed the Philadelphia Eagles take on the Kansas City Chiefs at Caesars Superdome on February 9.
Quinta Brunson’s surprise meeting with Jill Biden at Super Bowl
For Quinta Brunson, a devoted Eagles fan, the political tension while watching her team play was too much.
As the fear of an awkward encounter with Trump lingered, the actress did what any curious person might do.
“I’m like, ‘Hey, can you tell me what’s going on in there?’ The Secret Service says, 'No,' I’m like, ‘This is just the worst thing that’s ever happened to me,’” she quipped.

But plot twist, it wasn’t Trump waiting in the suite. It was former first lady Jill Biden.
And Brunson’s relief was instant. “I was very happy!” she shared.
The 'Big Mouth' voice actress continued, "It was still like tough sitting next to, you know, a distinguished woman as herself while I needed to curse and swear."
Kimmel then asked, "Did you curse and swear?"
She answered, "I did, but I turned to her and I said, ‘You know Jill, if I may, I need to show my a** right now. I need to yell and curse.’ She was so sweet. She said, ‘The only one stopping you is you.’”

When Kimmel cheekily asked, "Did she do any cursing?" Brunson jumped to her suitemate’s defense, saying, “She did not; I bet she didn't want to curse in front of me!”
The late-night host then quipped, "Well, maybe. So, maybe she didn't want to show her a** in front of you."
