FRISCO, TEXAS: Beyonce’s eighth studio album ‘Cowboy Carter’, which soon became a hit after its release, has not been nominated for the 2024 ACM Awards.

‘Queen Bey’ released her latest work in late March of this year and it immediately broke records, making her the first Black woman to be on top of Billboard's Top Country Albums chart, as reported by PEOPLE.

The album also secured the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 as well as No. 1 on the Billboard 200.

Beyonce claimed to use ‘real instruments’ to make ‘Cowboy Carter’

Following the release of the album, Beyonce reportedly said, “The joy of creating music is that there are no rules. The more I see the world evolving the more I felt a deeper connection to purity.”

She further shared, “With artificial intelligence and digital filters and programming, I wanted to go back to real instruments, and I used very old ones.

“I didn't want some layers of instruments like strings, especially guitars, and organs perfectly in tune. I kept some songs raw and leaned into folk.”

“All the sounds were so organic and human, everyday things like the wind, snaps, and even the sound of birds and chickens, the sounds of nature,” the ‘Crazy in Love’ singer added.

She also called the new album “the best music I’ve ever made,” before asserting, “I was initially going to put Cowboy Carter out first, but with the pandemic, there was too much heaviness in the world. We wanted to dance. We deserved to dance. But I had to trust God’s timing.”

However, despite all her hard work, the 2024 ACM Awards reportedly did not include her in its list of nominees.

Why was Beyonce’s ‘Cowboy Carter’ not recognized by ACM Awards?

The 59th Academy of Country Music Awards happened in Frisco, Texas, on Thursday, May 16, and was hosted by Reba McEntire.

The nominees for this year’s Album of the Year were Morgan Wallen, Luke Combs, Cody Johnson, Chris Stapleton, and Kelsea Ballerini, which Stapleton ultimately won for his album — ‘Higher’.

But Beyonce was nowhere on the list because as per the Academy of Country Music’s press release, the period to submit works for the 2024 awards was between January 1, 2023, to December 31, 2023.
