MANHATTAN, NEW YORK: Much like other late-night talk show hosts, Bill Maher shared his thoughts on the somewhat embarrassing and unhinged reactions from conservatives regarding the Super Bowl 2024 and Taylor Swift.

During his monologue on the February 2 episode of 'Real Time', Maher humorously remarked that Swift has managed to unsettle conservatives to the point where they are now "worrying about climate change and rooting for San Francisco."

As the Kansas City Chiefs are set to face the San Francisco 49ers in the Super Bowl LVIII on February 11, Maher jokingly highlighted the unexpected twists in conservatives' concerns regarding the fate of the match.

Absurd conspiracy theories emerged as the Chiefs earned their spot by triumphing over the heavily favored Baltimore Ravens in the AFC championship's January 28 match.

In an astonishing turn of events, conservatives, especially Republicans, concocted conspiracy theories suggesting that the NFL operates like professional wrestling and that the Super Bowl 2024 is rigged to somehow endorse President Joe Biden.

During his monologue on 'Real Time', Maher said, "The big thing that’s most exciting is, we have the Super Bowl set. It is the Kansas City Chiefs against the San Francisco 49ers. And, interesting wrinkle, it’s the first year in Las Vegas."

After taking a dig at Nevada's sex industry, the late-night host continued, "Here’s the great story of the week, and it’s about the Super Bowl. And it just says, I mean the right wing, they are just mental. Like I can’t even. They have a conspiracy theory now that this whole game, the whole thing is rigged. Okay?"

He added, "The romance between Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce was engineered by the Pentagon… and the NFL was in on it. The whole season is rigged so that they could be in the Super Bowl and then after Super Bowl, Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift at halftime will endorse Biden."

"Well, all I can say about this is, 'Abort! They're onto us'," quipped Maher.

A visibly frustrated Maher further noted, "Truly, that's what it is. This entire romance was orchestrated to influence an election. Or perhaps it's just the popular girl dating the football player."

He quipped, "I respect what she has achieved, but it's so high school. It's like, 'My boyfriend's a football player. I wear his jacket with his number to the game. He's going to be prom king, and we're going to make fetch happen again'."

"But it has driven them, it has driven the right-wing cray. I mean, Fox News, they have outdone themselves. These guys amaze me. Everything with them is always a plot. It's always a conspiracy. Yeah, except the time people stormed the Capitol on the very day they were certifying the votes, that was just spontaneous," noted Maher.

The late-night host was essentially referencing how some Republicans deny the facts related to the January 6, 2021, Capitol Hill insurrection, which was allegedly incited by then-President Donald Trump.

In conclusion, Maher said, "But this thing, they are worked up about this. They even think they can criticize... They're doing this on Fox News.... Taylor Swift for flying on a private jet because it's bad for the CO2. That's how irrational Taylor Swift has these people. They're worrying about climate change and rooting for San Francisco."
