Reason why Princes William and Harry remain 'estranged' and haven't spoken in almost 2 years revealed
LONDON, ENGLAND: Having not spoken to each other in nearly two years, Prince William and Prince Harry are reportedly "estranged," with the future King apparently not wanting Harry present for his coronation.
The estranged brothers were formerly close buddies and had a close-knit group when they were younger. But over time, their contentious and protracted disagreement has grown worse, partly due to Harry's divisive memoir 'Spare'.
Moreover, friends of the 42-year-old Prince of Wales revealed that William does not want Harry, 39, there when he is anointed king, per Daily Mail.
Prince William 'doesn't want Harry at his Coronation,' claims source
The royal brothers, who were once close, are allegedly "estranged" and have not communicated in almost two years, a close acquaintance revealed, adding that it is "dreadfully sad."
There does not appear to be any improvement in the relationship between the siblings, despite attempts made by Harry and his wife Meghan Markle to reach out to the Princess of Wales after she revealed her cancer diagnosis.
According to Harry's book, the royal brothers "barely exchanged a word" during their grandmother Queen Elizabeth II's funeral in September 2022, and that was their last interaction.
Insiders told The Sunday Times that the Prince of Wales prefers that Harry not be present for his coronation when it takes place.
"They are estranged, which is dreadfully sad," one acquaintance told the outlet. Another acquaintance close to William revealed that Harry and William don't ever talk, adding, "This year his focus has very much been on his wife, his children and his father. His brother isn't really something that's discussed."
Harry felt rejected by the royal family, including his brother, as he revealed in his best-selling memoir 'Spare'.
Here's why Prince William 'won't forgive' Prince Harry
Prince Harry did not meet his father, King Charles, when he traveled to London in May for an Invictus Games event, despite the serious health issues affecting the Royal Family.
Tensions among senior royals have increased ever since Harry left the realm of royalty to start over in the US.
According to reports, Harry's incendiary memoir 'Spare' leveled severe accusations against the Royal Family that the family is still finding difficult to overcome.
But there's another issue that is thought to be the main cause of Harry's agonizing separation from his brother.
According to The Sunday Times, the Prince of Wales is "unlikely to forgive Harry anytime soon" because of his bitterness toward the remarks Harry made about Kate.
William's close friends claimed that he is deeply resentful of Harry for the comments that Harry directed at Kate Middleton in 'Spare'.
"William is unlikely to forgive Harry any time soon for his slights against Kate in 'Spare', among them the suggestion she was cold towards Meghan. Those close to William say his brother rarely comes up in conversation," the outlet reported.
William's relationship with Harry is said to have deteriorated, with little chance of a reunion, as he copes with the cancer diagnoses of his father and wife.
These remarks from friends dovetail with rumors that Harry and his father, King Charles, do not get along, per last-minute reports.
The last time the two of them saw each other in person was when Harry hastily boarded a plane from California to London in February after learning of the monarch's cancer diagnosis.
