LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: On Election Day, Reba McEntire shared a lighthearted post about National Redhead Day, which didn’t sit well with some of her fans.

Sharing photos showcasing her iconic red locks, the "Queen of Country" celebrated the day on social media, only to face a wave of criticism from fans who felt her focus was misplaced.

National Redhead Day aka National Love Your Red Hair Day is celebrated annually on November 5. The day was reportedly founded in 2015 by How to be a Redhead co-founders Adrienne and Stephanie Vendetti.

In her post, Reba McEntire shared that she's proud of her red hair, no matter the style. She celebrated the occasion with two photos, one showing her signature long red hair, the other revealing a shorter cut.

'The Voice' coach captioned the post, "Long or short, either way I love being a redhead! #NationalRedheadDay."

On Instagram, she shared her 2020 duet 'Redhead' with Caylee Hammack, alongside the quote, "They raised a little hell when they raised a little redhead."

McEntire's X (formerly Twitter) post has raked up almost 10 million views, while her Instagram post has garnered over 25,000 likes at the time of writing.

The 69-year-old marked her return to sitcoms after more than ten years with NBC's 'Happy's Place', which premiered on October 18. She reunited with her 'Reba' co-star and real-life best friend Melissa Peterman for the show.

McEntire portrays Bobbie, the spirited owner of Happy’s Place, a bar left to her by her late father, Happy. The plot thickens when Bobbie learns she has a half-sister, Isabella (played by Belissa Escobedo), who was also granted half the bar in Happy's will.
