Rihanna plays matchmaker to help lonely Eminem find love as he prepares to be a grandfather
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Rihanna is stepping up to play matchmaker for her longtime friend Eminem, aiming to help the rapper find romance as he prepares to embrace grandfatherhood, with his daughter, Hailie Jade Scott, expecting her first child.
The duo's friendship has weathered storms, including Eminem's controversial lyrics about Chris Brown's assault on Rihanna.
Rihanna has made it her mission to find Eminem a girlfriend
Sources revealed to RadarOnline.com that the Barbadian superstar is determined to help the 'Mockingbird' artist, who has recently expressed feelings of loneliness.
"There was a time Eminem and Rihanna weren't on good terms, but he managed to get her to forgive him and they're really tight again," shared an insider, referencing Eminem's past lyrics where he sided with Brown after the 2009 incident involving Rihanna. The lyrics were leaked in 2019.
The rapper later admitted, "I was wrong for saying that, it was f**king stupid." He apologized to Rihanna for the lyrics in his song 'Zeus'.
Now, at 52, Eminem is reportedly content in his solitude, but Rihanna, 36, finds it perplexing that he remains single. "Rihanna can’t understand why he’s still single. She’s making it her mission to find him a girlfriend," explained the source.
However, Eminem is resistant, claiming he prefers to avoid the "drama of dating." Despite his reluctance, Rihanna is undeterred and is committed to helping him break out of his "funk."
Eminem has been married twice to Kim Scott, with whom he shares a daughter, Hailie, 28. He revealed Hailie's pregnancy in the music video for 'Temporary' in October.
The rapper has also been romantically linked to singer Mariah Carey, actress Tara Reid, actress Brittany Murphy, and former Pussycat Dolls member Kaya Jones.
