LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Rob Schneider has been in the hot seat since his daughter, Elle King, opened up about their strained relationship in a raw and revealing interview.

Rob Schneider hopes daughter Elle King can forgive him as she calls him out over 'toxic' parenting
Tanner Elle Schneider, known professionally by her stage name Elle King accused the former 'Saturday Night Live' star, 60, of sending her to fat camp as a child and labeled him "very toxic," adding that he wasn't "nice."
The singer revealed that she has sometimes gone "four or five years without talking" to her father and made it clear she "doesn’t want to be associated" with him.
In a teaser for an upcoming interview with Tucker Carlson, Schneider can be seen expressing deep regret for not being the father Elle needed when she was younger.
"Fun being a parent, isn't it?" remarked the actor, before issuing an apology, saying, "I want to just tell my daughter, Elle, I love you and I wish I was the father in my 20s that you needed, and clearly I wasn't. I hope you can forgive me for my shortcomings."
Schneider continued, "I love you completely, I love you entirely, and I just want you to be well and happy, with you and your beautiful baby, Lucky. I wish you the best. I feel terrible and just want you to know that I don't take anything you say personally. All I want for her is to be happy and heal from this."
Elle King slams father Rob Schneider over anti-LGBTQ+ remarks as she sheds light on their relationship
In her candid interview on Bunnie XO's podcast, Elle King criticized her father's controversial comments on LGBTQ+ issues.
"You’re talking out of your a** and you’re talking s**t about drag and anti-gay rights. And it’s like, get f****k," said the singer.
Elle, who was raised in Ohio by her mother, London King, and stepfather, Justin Tesa, shared that she did not connect with her father much "until I was much older."
Growing up, the rare times Elle spent with her father, Schneider, were often on chaotic movie sets, where she frequently felt overlooked. "I would just get lost in the shuffle," revealed the 'Drunk' singer, adding, "If I ever messed up a shot, if I ever was talking, I would get in f****** trouble."
One memory that stands out is her 18th birthday—a milestone she spent in summer school. "They brought me cupcakes, and I came home, and my dad forgot my birthday," recalled Elle, highlighting the disconnect in their relationship.
