LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM: Kate Middleton swapped her engagement ring with a gorgeous eternity band in a heartwarming family video shared on Monday, September 9, in which she provided a health update six months after publicly announcing her cancer diagnosis.

The late Princess Diana received the magnificent sapphire engagement ring from King Charles (then Prince of Wales). Prince William later proposed to Kate using the same ring.

However, Kate has now replaced the sapphire engagement ring, estimated to be worth $392,653 (£300,000) today, with a brand-new "eternity band," per Metro.

In the video, which was shot in Norfolk in August, Kate Middleton, 42, appeared with her family to announce that she will soon resume her public duties as her chemotherapy treatment is now over.

Her moving speech on her experience with cancer unfolds over pictures of the Waleses and their children having fun in the great outdoors, strolling through forests, and holding hands.

In a touching moment, Kate reaches out to run her fingers through the tall grass and displays her new eternity band, which she seems to have replaced with the ring that once belonged to her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana.

After noticing the subtle change, royal enthusiasts speculated that the ring was probably a gift from Prince William to mark a "fresh start" now that she was done with chemotherapy.

According to Daily Mail, Kate had previously displayed the jewelry when she wore the ring to send Team Great Britain a star-studded congratulations after their spectacular performance at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
