NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Ryan Reynolds recently revealed in an interview that he was "s**t texting" with Tom Brady and David Beckham on WhatsApp after his team defeated the Blues 3-1 last September.

The reverse fixture between the teams in September 2024 witnessed Brady and Beckham attend the game that Reynolds' side won against the Blues.

The Hollywood A-lister said that was not at the game but was exchanging playful jibes with Beckham and Brady during the match.

During an appearance on the 'Men In Blazers' podcast, Reynolds revealed, "I wasn't able to be at the Birmingham match, but he (Brady) was sitting with Beckham and I was s*** texting both of them, mostly failing bone structure and age-related sort of material."

He added, "It wasn't my finest moment and I hate that they're both kind people in real life."

Notably, Reynolds co-owns Wrexham with Rob McElhenny, who he said is even more determined to beat Brady than him. "Would I love to beat Tom Brady at sports? The answer is an emphatic yes. Would Rob? Maybe more so," Reynolds stated.

The investment group, led by real estate mogul Al Tylis and soccer executive Sam Porter, promises a "new era" for the club, as explained in the team’s social media announcement, according to People.

The soccer club announced on X, which was translated to English, "We welcome Al Tylis and Sam Porter, who arrive with a clear, long-term vision to continue strengthening our club. This is the first step towards a future full of opportunities. Great things are coming."

The team shared in their statement, "Al Tylis and Sam Porter not only have extensive experience in the sports world but they also have the support of recognized figures such as Eva Longoria, Rob McElhenney, Ryan Reynolds, Justin Verlander, Kate Upton, Shawn Marion, and Scott Galloway," assuring fans that "great things are coming."

The collaboration builds on Reynolds’ success with Wrexham, which he co-owns with McElhenney. Their efforts have seen the Welsh club rise through the English football tiers, with ambitions of reaching the Premier League since purchasing the team in November 2020, per the outlet.
