LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Ryan Seacrest debuted a dramatic new look in a promotional video for 'American Idol' Season 23.

The host of ‘American Idol’ and ‘Wheel of Fortune’ wore a printed shirt and sported a well-maintained beard in the video, as per Daily Mail

While the 50-year-old has commanded his fandom over the years through his designer suits and artfully coiffed hair, his new look in a casual resort shirt caused a stir on the internet.

Ryan Seacrest showcases new casual look in 'American Idol' promo video

Ryan Seacrest recently decided to take a break from his usual formal dressing, as he opted for a more relaxed look for the video.

Foregoing his suit jacket for a printed green casual half-sleeve shirt, he swapped the trousers with a pair of pale blue jeans and taupe pointed boots. More remarkable, however, was his bearded look.

In the promo video, Seacrest was seen standing in front of a giant screen with his mother, Constance Marie Zullinger, making a surprise appearance.

As the clip went viral, fans were quick to point out the dramatic new look consisting of longer hair and a full beard, as it was a far cry from his usual look.

Meanwhile, it was also not known when the video was shot, as he sported his usual look while hosting the 2025 Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve on December 31, 2024.

The upcoming season of the ABC reality show will have the fourth season’s winner of the ‘American Idol’ and country queen Carrie Underwood grace the judges’ table along with Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan.

Seacrest, who was the host in 2005 and announced Underwood’s win, recently took to his social media to announce her homecoming.
