LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Sandra Bullock made a public appearance on Monday, December 23 at the Los Angeles Lakers game against the Detroit Pistons, looking in high spirits.

This marks her rare appearance since the death of her partner Bryan Randall in August 2023 after a private battle with ALS. Despite the challenges she's faced, Bullock was seen enjoying the game, radiating joy during her outing.

The 'While You Were Sleeping' actress was seen smiling from a private box alongside other stars like Leonardo DiCaprio, Corey Gamble, Nas, Rich Paul, Sam Richardson, and Big Sean.

After the death of her partner Bryan Randall, she has remained out of the public eye, but this rare appearance showcased her cheerful side.

Bullock wore a black top and three hoop earrings while cheering on the game.

Bullock and Randall first met when he was hired as a photographer for her adopted son Louis' birthday party. Bullock also has an 11-year-old adopted daughter. Randall’s ALS diagnosis made Bullock step back from acting in 2022 and she shared her desire for a more private life during a CBS News interview.

"I want to be at home. I was always running to the next thing. I just want to be present and responsible for one thing," she explained.

This outing followed Sandra Bullock's heartfelt reunion with her 'Speed' co-star Keanu Reeves, where the two joined director Jan de Bont for a special 30th-anniversary event of the film in October 2024.

During the reunion, Bullock humorously recalled the early days with Keanu Reeves at the anniversary screening of 'Speed'.

She joked, "That was the steering wheel," while reminiscing about how several other actresses had passed on the role in 'Speed' before she auditioned. Reeves, seemingly forgetting the details, replied, "I don’t remember that." Bullock smiled warmly and told the crowd, "That is why I love him."

Before the reunion, Bullock,60, sent a birthday message to friend Hoda Kotb, who turned 60 in August. In her message, Bullock said, “Hoda, Hoda, Hoda, Hoda... I had so many brilliant and funny things prepared for you for this message that were just gonna slay."

"But you know, girl, I'm just too tired. Tired because I had to make my way up that mountain before you got up there, so I could check out the terrain and see what things look like and just get the feel so I can fill you in,” she added.

These rare public appearances have sparked interest as Bullock gradually reemerges into the spotlight.

Sources told Us Weekly in August about Sandra Bullock's gradual reemergence into public life following her partner’s death. The source revealed, "Sandra’s gradually reemerging into public life. She's excited about what the future holds. She's ready to get back in the game."

The source also added that Bullock is "healing slowly, keeping Bryan's memory alive and focusing on her children."

While the actress is "open to the possibility" of dating in the future, as of December 2024, there have been no reports of her dating anyone.
