LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Sandra Bullock delivered a heartfelt video message to Hoda Kotb on her 60th birthday during the August 12 episode of 'Today with Hoda and Jenna'. 

Bullock, who celebrated her own 60th birthday in July, shared encouraging words about embracing this new chapter in life and praised Kotb for her kindness and resilience. 

The touching message deeply moved Kotb, who revealed that Bullock's own journey into motherhood inspired her to adopt her two daughters.

During the August 12 episode of 'Today with Hoda and Jenna', Hoda Kotb was surprised with a touching video message from Sandra Bullock.

"I had so many brilliant and funny things prepared for you," Bullock began, "but honestly, I'm just too tired." She explained that her exhaustion came from a metaphorical trek up a mountain to scout out what life would be like at 60.

She added, "And it's weird because people seem to want us to be afraid of what it might look like when we get there. Turns out it's pretty damn great. It's pretty awesome"

The 'Practical Magic' star also expressed her admiration for Kotb, praising her for the way she navigates her profession with kindness and how she supports those around her, as per People.

"What you do for a living and how you have to shape-shift every single day, how you navigate your kindness, even when that's not what's coming your way. How you are to those you care about and how you keep them safe, and just who you are as a human being. We're all pretty lucky to have you, especially your kids." Bullock added.

Bullock concluded her message with a personal note: “Happy birthday, my sweet friend. Thank you for allowing me to be in your circle.” She also mentioned having Kotb's bar set up in her space so they could share the view and wished her a happy birthday.

“I feel very grateful. And I have your bar set up, up here, so we can look at the view. It’s pretty beautiful, but I need you up here. Happy birthday”

Hoda Kotb says how Sandra Bullock inspired her motherhood journey

Hoda Kotb, who has two adopted daughters, Haley, 7, and Hope, 4, became visibly emotional after the message. She shared that Sandra Bullock’s own journey into motherhood inspired her. “The reason that I have Haley and Hope is because when I was looking for inspiration of somebody who was a mom at my age, Sanda Bullock popped up and I called her and I said, 'Tell me about motherhood',” Kotb recalled.

She recounted, “And she said, ‘It is the best decision I ever made.' And from that moment forward, she led the way to these two girls”

Bullock is reportedly finding joy in her role as a mother following the death of her partner Bryan Randall last year. A source close to Bullock’s friend Jennifer Aniston shared in July that, while the loss was hard, Bullock has received immense support from friends and remains grateful for the love and care she has received, “Everyone helped to lift her up after Bryan passed.”
