Scarlett Johansson’s outlook on life

Appearing on 'Today' with Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager, Scarlett Johansson reflected on the societal weight attached to turning 40.

“In some ways, it feels like a big deal, and in a lot of ways, I’m like, ‘Eh,’” she said.

The actress admitted that aging has given her a sense of freedom from external expectations.

“You’re sort of wrapped up in what other people think — your desirability, people-pleasing," the 'Lucy' actress emphasized.

"And then, you just realize that it doesn’t matter. You’re just on your own train,” she continued.

When asked about any changes she is making moving forward, Johansson quipped, “I think I’m 40, so I just want more of everything."

Joking about being happy to leave behind her nickname 'ScarJo', Johansson said, “Oh, yeah, that can go! That can go forever."

She recently launched her skincare brand, The Outset, and is set to star in 'Jurassic World Rebirth', a reboot of the iconic dinosaur franchise.
