LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: President Donald Trump has reportedly lost 30 pounds, despite maintaining a diet heavy in fast food.

Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F Kennedy Jr made the claim during an interview with Sean Hannity at a Steak ’n Shake in Florida on Tuesday, March 11.

During the interview, Kennedy remarked, “I saw him yesterday and I think he’s lost 30 pounds."

Hannity not only agreed but added insight into Trump’s dietary habits, revealing, “He looks great. And he told me, he’s not using… for example, if he has a burger now, he usually doesn’t have it with a bun.”

Kennedy seemed surprised at Trump’s dietary adjustments, responding, “Oh, I didn’t know that he was actually changing his diet.”

Donald Trump’s genetics and lifestyle play a role

RFK Jr and Sean Hannity also speculated that Donald Trump’s weight loss may be due in part to his unique genetics, despite his well-documented preference for fast food.

“I have to say this… Even with all the – can I say – crap that he eats… he has a genetic system that, like…” Kennedy started.

“...Is second to none,” Hannity quickly interjected.

Trump himself has rarely spoken about his weight, though he listed it as 215 pounds when he was booked at Fulton County Jail in Georgia in August 2023, according to The Independent.

In a January 2024 interview with Fox & Friends host Brian Kilmeade, Trump revealed that he had lost 20 pounds due to his busy schedule.

“I have been so busy,” Trump explained.

“I haven’t been able to eat very much. I’m not able to sit down and eat like a person like you. You can sit down and eat. Me, it’s a little bit tougher,” he added.

Donald Trump’s well-known love for fast food

Despite his weight loss, Donald Trump’s fondness for fast food remains a signature part of his image.

During the interview, Sean Hannity and Robert F Kennedy joked about Trump’s love for KFC, pizza, Diet Coke, and McDonald’s.

Trump famously served a fast-food buffet at the White House for the Clemson Tigers during his first term and has been seen indulging in McDonald’s during campaign stops.

In November 2023, a viral photograph showed Trump, Elon Musk, Donald Trump Jr, and House Speaker Mike Johnson enjoying Big Macs and McNuggets while en route to a UFC fight.

Kennedy referenced this photo while joking with Hannity, saying, “If you don’t like McDonald’s, you shouldn’t get on the airplane with him!”

Interestingly, Kennedy had previously criticized Trump’s eating habits.

Speaking on 'The Joe Polish Show' days before the viral image surfaced, Kennedy said, “The stuff that he eats is really bad… Campaign food is always bad, but the food that goes onto that airplane is, like, just poison.”
