Blanco expressed excitement about one day playing their joint album, 'I Said I Love You First', for their future children.
“I don’t know what will happen, obviously, but I love children. I have an 11-year-old sister that I absolutely adore,” Gomez said, referencing her younger sibling, Gracie Elliott Teefey.
“I love making [children] laugh; they’re just so sweet. So absolutely, when that day comes, I’m so excited for it,” said the 32-year-old singer.
Benny Blanco says Selena Gomez is ‘shy’ except around children
Benny Blanco described his fiancee Selena Gomez as “the ultimate level of shy,” saying she prefers to blend into a crowd rather than be the center of attention.
“When she walks into a room, her main goal is to disappear into the crowd,” he explained.

“My mom is very similar, her and my mom are very similar. They’ll wait and say like one thing throughout the night that winds up being the most poignant or funny thing of the night,” he added.
However, Blanco noted that Gomez’s demeanor changes when children are present.
“Whenever there’s kids at a place, it’s the only time I see her do that. She immediately goes to the kids and has these conversations for like hours with the kids,” he said.
“When you started doing this, you were a kid and that was your way to connect to people, and I feel like you still feel like you have that obligation to connect with young kids,” Blanco told Gomez.
“You shaped so many young people’s lives, whether it was Barney, Wizards [of Waverly Place]... you’re still finding your way to do that,” he noted.
Selena Gomez’s plans for the future

Earlier in the podcast, Shetty referenced Gomez's Time interview, where she shared her plan to adopt if she had not met a partner by 35.
Reflecting on how she found the confidence to open up to love while protecting herself, Gomez admitted, “Well, I think first of all making plans and trying to stick to them is silly because you don’t know what’s going to happen.”
She added, “I can’t believe I get to marry my best friend.”
Gomez recalled how her perspective shifted, “I was genuinely set, but it was once I let go of me just saying ‘I want someone and I wish I had this, I wish I had that.’ Instead, I changed my mind to ‘I’m so lucky that I get to wake up and my family is healthy, and I love spending time with my friends."
"And if it doesn’t happen, I know I’ve always wanted to be a mom,’” she shared, according to People.
Gomez’s comments echoed her Time interview from May, where she revealed, “I was alone for five years and I got really used to it."
"A lot of people are afraid of being alone, and I probably tortured myself in my head for like two years being alone, and then I kind of accepted it," she said.

“Then I came up with my plan, which was I was going to adopt at 35 if I had not met anyone,” she said, adding "But love found its way to her unexpectedly. “It just happens when you least expect it.”
