Sharon Stone under fire as she calls Americans ‘uneducated’ over Donald Trump’s win
TORINO, ITALY: Sharon Stone didn't hold back as she criticized Americans while reflecting on Donald Trump’s 2024 election victory during a panel at the Torino Film Festival in Italy.
During a panel discussion, the 66-year-old actress was asked to share her thoughts on the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, as reported by Fox News.
The award-winning actress, subtly critiquing Trump, said, “We have to stop and think about who we choose for government. And if, in fact, we are actually choosing our government or if the government is choosing itself.”

Sharon Stone says US ‘is in the midst of adolescence’
Sharon Stone, who received the Stella della Mole Lifetime Achievement Award, continued, “You know, Italy has seen fascism. Italy has seen these things, you guys. And you understand what happens. You have seen this before.”
“My country is in the midst of adolescence. Adolescence is very arrogant. Adolescence thinks it knows everything. Adolescence is naive and ignorant and arrogant. And we are in our ignorant, arrogant adolescence,” she mentioned.
The 'Basic Instinct' star then pointed out the Americans who chose Trump over Kamala Harris.
“So, Americans who don’t travel, who 80% don’t have a passport, who are uneducated, are in their extraordinary naïveté. What I would say is that the only way that we can help with these issues is to help each other,” she stated.
Sharon Stone insists on ‘good men helping good men’
Sharon Stone also asserted that the idea that "only women should help women because that's the only way we've survived so far" is no longer effective, before adding, "We must say that good men must help good men, and those good men must be very aware that a lot of their friends are not good men."
“We can’t continue to pretend that your friends are good men when they’re not good men. And you must be very clear minded and understand that your friends who are not good men are dangerous, violent men,” she added.
However, this was not the first time Stone expressed her disapproval of Trump.
“I am deeply concerned with what’s happening in my country now. This is one of the first times in my life that I’ve actually seen anyone running for office on a platform of hate and oppression,” she shared in July, as per Deadline.
Internet labels Sharon Stone 'irrelevant'
‘The Quick and the Dead’ star Sharon Stone was slammed by political activist Riley Gaines for her recent comment.
“These out-of-touch Hollywood elitists calling American voters uneducated is peak hypocrisy. They lecture from their ivory towers while being completely disconnected from the everyday realities most Americans face,” the 24-year-old added, as reported by The Daily Beast.
A critic of Stone tweeted, “Stone is an idiot.”
Another one remarked, “Sharron is the scary one.”
A third one commented, “What’s scary is the average liberal doesn’t realize this is straight up communist playbook talk.”
