LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Crystal Hefner, widow of Playboy founder Hugh Hefner, recently spoke candidly about the challenging dynamics and unrealistic expectations she faced during their relationship.

In a preview of an upcoming episode of 'The Tamron Hall Show', Crystal shed light on the pressures to conform to a certain image in the Playboy Mansion.

Crystal, now 37, revealed that Hugh Hefner had specific ideals for her appearance and behavior. According to her, he wanted her to be "seen and not speak, be helpless, be small, have bleach-blonde hair and stay skinny and have big, fake boobs." She emphasized that conforming to these expectations was a survival strategy in the "cutthroat" environment of the Playboy Mansion.

"That's part of it," she added.

The model shared instances where Hefner would remind her to maintain a certain appearance. For example, he would tap her on the head when her natural brown roots grew out, signaling that it was time to refresh her hair color. Additionally, Crystal mentioned comments about her weight, with Hefner tapping her thighs and making remarks like, "Oh, looks like someone needs to tone up."

Reflecting on her experience, Crystal expressed how Hefner's words made her feel like she was "falling." She admitted to quickly learning that things weren't as they seemed and that she had to adjust to fit the expectations set by Hefner.

"So, I quickly learned, okay, things aren't really what they seem here," she added.

"I made myself small and just mirrored Hef, and just ended up liking what he liked," she explained.

In a candid interview last month with PEOPLE, Crystal discussed her feelings toward Hefner, expressing love for him but clarifying that she was never "in love" with him. She shed light on the significant power imbalance in their relationship, acknowledging the challenges of a world that seemed glamorous but came with a price.

"I realized I was dealing with a really big power imbalance,” she said and added, “It seemed like a world of success and fantasy, but everyone's having to sleep with an 80-year-old. There's a price. Everything has a price."

Social media divided on Crystal Hefner's revelation

Crystal Hefner's recent revelations about her late husband, Hugh Hefner, and his expectations for her appearance have sparked a divided response from the public. In a clip from The Tamron Hall Show, Crystal shared that Hefner wanted her to remain skinny with "big, fake boobs" and embody a certain persona.

One user commented, "She chose that life."

Another user seemed supportive of Hugh Hefner, stating, "Hugh Hefner my friend just keep it up," possibly indicating admiration for the late Playboy founder's lifestyle.

Contrastingly, a more pragmatic viewpoint emerged, with a user stating, "It all comes down to the mighty dollar," suggesting that financial considerations may have played a role in Crystal's decisions.

Some users defended Hugh Hefner's prerogative in the matter, emphasizing, "Well, that is his business."

Another perspective delved into the dynamics of power and wealth, with a user noting, "When you have money, you have power. And these ladies want money and (are) willing to listen."
