LUMBER RIVER, SOUTH CAROLINA: The estranged husband of Mica Miller, who tragically ended her own life, shared with mourners at her funeral his attempts to revive her.

Mica Miller, aged 30, was found deceased in Lumber River State Park in North Carolina on April 27, having succumbed to a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Mica, who had served divorce papers to her estranged husband John-Paul Miller, 44, just a few days prior, was determined by investigators to have died by suicide.

John-Paul addresses mourners during Mica Miller's funeral

The eulogy video surfaced nearly a week later, stirring discomfort among numerous viewers who deemed John-Paul's delivery as a contrived attempt at damage control. Addressing the mourners, John-Paul recounted visiting the morgue where Mica's body lay on four occasions since her death.

He candidly admitted, "Each time it still didn't hit me, I thought she was going to wake up - I even tried to raise her from the dead one time this week."

Reflecting on a poignant encounter at the mall, John-Paul recounted mistaking a woman bearing a striking resemblance to Mica for his late wife, only to realize she was one of Mica's sisters.

Overwhelmed, he tearfully expressed his longing to reunite with her someday. Fondly remembering his estranged wife, John-Paul emphasized her inner beauty, known only to him as her spouse, beyond her outward appearance.

He added, "If I had 10 hours it wouldn't be enough to tell you all the great things about her," as per Mirror.

He lamented the brevity of time to extol her virtues fully, sharing anecdotes that offered glimpses into her more personal side, including her victories in beauty pageants since her school days.

John-Paul Miller recounts his beach proposal

The couple wed in 2017, with John-Paul fondly recalling his elaborate beach proposal involving a plane displaying a banner asking, "Will you marry me Mica?" Unfortunately, she missed the message as she had forgotten her contact lenses.

Reports indicate that prior to her death, Mica secured a restraining order against John-Paul and had contacted the police multiple times with various allegations against him.

Reverend Charles Randall refuted claims that he terminated John-Paul as Solid Rock's pastor, stating that he merely reassigned him to allow for personal healing.

Randall chose not to comment on allegations of John-Paul's involvement in inappropriate relationships with underage individuals associated with the church, emphasizing that John-Paul is presently grieving and undergoing recovery.

The couple initially separated on September 20, 2023, with the divorce petition dismissed on February 13.

Later in the same month, John-Paul counter-filed for separate support and maintenance, withdrawing the motion on March 11.

However, on April 15, just twelve days before her untimely demise, Mica filed for divorce once more and requested a no-contact order against her spouse. Their separation occurred for the second time on February 6.

Internet not convinced by John-Paul Miller's eulogy

Following the claims made by Mica Miller's pastor husband, numerous Internet users have taken to Facebook to express their thoughts and reactions. One user said, "I hate it when people fake cry. He was trying to perform and failed badly. God brings justice for this beautiful young woman."

Another claimed, "His 'crying' gets on my nerves. My autistic son was listening and he had to walk away because it hit a tone with him." A third claimed, "His sadness isn't believable in the slightest.. he does everything for attention. Sickening and I'm sickened for her family."

A fourth said, "This eulogy left me empty. I felt no connection from him to his wife He just rattled off a list of things she did." Someone else claimed, "The church people need to stand by MICA."
