How Simone Biles makes long-distance marriage with Jonathan Owens work
Simone Biles recently made history in the Paris Olympics by winning three gold medals, while Chicago Bears safety Owens has been busy in travel and preparation for the 2024 NFL season.
Despite their busy work schedule, Biles - the loving wife that she is - is determined to make sure they spend time together.
While stressing that spending time together is one of the key elements to maintaining their marriage, Biles shared, "I went to go see my husband to do a little reset and just spend time with him because ever since we got married we’ve been long distance."
Biles believes spending time together is crucial for both decompressing and maintaining their connection despite their hectic schedules.
For this reason, Biles took a week off to unwind with Owens, allowing them to refuel and reestablish their relationship before she resumed her demanding training regimen for the Gold Over America Tour.
Biles spent even more time apart from Owens in September when she jumped right into her 32-city Gold Over America Tour. She admitted that missing out on the moments they spend together was the most difficult aspect of their long-distance marriage.
She emphasized how valuable their time together has become saying, "Whenever we’re together, we really cherish those moments."
However, Biles and Owens managed to reunite for the GOAT Tour regardless of all difficulties, showcasing that love can overcome any obstacle.
