Skip Bayless claims Taylor Swift staged her engagement to Travis Kelce: 'She orchestrates all'

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: As Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce continue to receive an outpouring of love following their engagement announcement, NFL insider Skip Bayless is stirring controversy.

On the August 30 episode of 'The Skip Bayless Show,' the outspoken NFL analyst claimed the high-profile engagement was “staged and scripted.”

Bayless went further, suggesting that it wasn’t Kelce who proposed, but rather, Swift herself orchestrated the entire moment.

Skip Bayless said he believes Swift was the one who proposed “several weeks back,” and argued that the entire engagement was carefully choreographed by her team.

“This has obviously been in the works,” Bayless said, claiming Swift’s people coordinated with Kelce’s on every detail. He pointed to the lavish setup of the proposal, including what he described as “10 tons of flowers” and “pictures carefully staged”, as signs the moment was heavily produced, not organic.

“She orchestrates all of the above,” he continued. “She has carefully orchestrated her rise in her field…and she is a super-duper star of the highest magnitude”

Bayless went on to argue that Swift’s decision to date Kelce was also calculated, speculating that she saw value in his popularity.

“Oh, he’s a big star on the most popular team in football.” Bayless said. “I’ll become a football fan because that’s one of the biggest audiences in the world.”

He even likened the relationship to a carefully crafted fairytale, scripted for public consumption. “It’s like they’re scripting a movie in real time,” Bayless said. “The world needs a real-life Cinderella and a real-life Prince Charming."

He wrapped up the segment by crediting Swift with controlling the narrative at every step, saying, “[She wears] the pants in the relationship.”

Just days after Skip Bayless criticized Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift's engagement, Swifties and internet users quickly rallied behind the singer, dismissing his comments as nonsense.
