MEMPHIS, TENNESSEE: The highly controversial figure of Kyle Rittenhouse found himself at the center of a storm once again as his planned speech at the University of Memphis was disrupted by a wave of fierce protests.

Rittenhouse, 21, cleared of murder charges stemming from the shooting of two individuals during a Black Lives Matter protest in Kenosha, Wisconsin, back in 2020, was on a tour with the conservative organization Turning Point USA, as per Daily Mail.

However, the event quickly descended into chaos as protesters heckled and screamed, ultimately forcing Rittenhouse to be escorted off stage with his service dog, igniting a confrontation that would spill out into the parking lot and spark a torrent of mockery online.

Rittenhouse's speech, titled "The Second Amendment and the Lies of Black Lives Matter," sparked outrage among protesters who had gathered in large numbers outside the venue. As he stepped onto the stage, the crowd erupted in a chorus of boos, jeers, and chants, making it virtually impossible for him to deliver his planned remarks.

The atmosphere was charged with tension as protesters employed various tactics to disrupt the speech. Certain individuals arrived with musical instruments such as saxophones, and even a complete drum set, creating a cacophony of noise that made it nearly impossible for Rittenhouse to be heard.

"I was violently attacked by a mob of rioters and..." Rittenhouse started, but his words were quickly drowned out by the deafening noise from the protesters. "Thank you very much, wonderful crowd you guys have here, very professional, very respectful... Ain't none of that walkouts, children," he said, attempting to regain control of the situation.

Video recordings capture enraged crowd pursuing Kyle Rittenhouse

As the uproar made it impossible to proceed with his prepared speech, Rittenhouse endeavored to transition directly to the question and answer segment, albeit briefly. During this time, he asserted that his trial occurred in 2021 due to the coinciding election during his 2020 charges, before abruptly departing when questioned about TPUSA founder Charlie Kirk.

Video recordings captured an enraged crowd pursuing Rittenhouse and the Turning Point USA team as they hurried to their vehicles, accompanied by state troopers and campus police. Protesters made efforts to impede the departure of the vehicles, resorting to physical aggression such as hitting and spitting.

Eyewitnesses recounted how law enforcement had to intervene forcefully to create a path for the cars to leave without incident and shield the staff from potential harm.

Internet abuzz with users trolling Kyle Rittenhouse for his inability to deliver the speech

In the wake of the chaotic event, the internet was abuzz with users trolling Rittenhouse and mocking his inability to deliver the speech. One X commentator remarked, "I bet he cried on his way home in that car," while another quipped, "The only dog that had a worse day than his support dog belonged to Cat Turd."



 



 

Adding to the chorus of online reactions, a third individual wrote, "And went crying to Fox News," while another expressed, "May his days be torturous & his soul tormented." Reflecting on the involvement of Rittenhouse's service dog, a fifth user pleaded, "Can someone please rescue the poor service dog from Kyle Rittenhouse."



 



 



 

Echoing sentiments of disapproval, a sixth user opined, "Kyle Rittenhouse is not the type of person who should be in the public domain."
