Swifties concur as Stephen Colbert declares he would murder for his 'queen' Taylor Swift
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Given one of the most devoted Swifties, Stephen Colbert declared that he would do everything—including risk his life—to make Taylor Swift happy because she showed kindness to his daughter over 10 years ago.
On a recent episode of 'The Late Show with Stephen Colbert', the host's initial queries for his guest Paul Rudd involved the combined fan communities of Swift and the Kansas City Chiefs, and Rudd had nothing but great things to say.
Stephen Colbert quips he would 'murder' for Taylor Swift
The Kansas City-born 'Ant-Man' actor—who has long been a fan of Swift's boyfriend Travis Kelce's Super Bowl-winning team—brought up instantly how the relationships have created new avenues for fathers and daughters to connect.
"I see those stories about the dads and their daughters and their interest in watching the games together and I get all choked up watching it," the actor admitted to Colbert on Wednesday night (March 13), per The Wrap.
Rudd added: "My daughter by the way, like my son, has grown up a Chiefs fanatic, and she loves Taylor Swift, but when that first started, my daughter said, ‘Well, I wonder how many of these new Swifties are going to be able to talk about DiCaprio Bootle.’"

Colbert and Rudd then bonded over their daughters' mutual admiration for Swift. Colbert's devotion to Swift was established by the singer's treatment of his daughter during their meeting at the Grammy Awards.
Colbert gushed, recalling how he accompanied his 14-year-old daughter Madeline to the 2008 Grammy Awards, "Taylor was so nice to her that to this day, I would murder for her if she wanted me to. She said ‘Pretty girl,’ and I’m like, ‘Whatever you want, my queen.’"

In a 2022 footage from his late-night program, the former 'Colbert Report' host earlier recounted how he introduced Madeline to Swift at the Grammys.
Colbert remarked at the time, "She turns around and goes, ‘Pretty girl!’ and comes and puts her arms around her and goes, ‘Oh you look amazing!’"
He described the incident at the time, imitating the way the 'Anti-Hero' singer gave his daughter a tight hug. "She just praises my daughter for how she looks for, like, 30 seconds," Colbert said, per Billboard.
He had continued, "I would jump off a cliff into a pit of spikes for that woman for how nice she was to my daughter. You’ve got to remember that!"
Swifties agree with Stephen Colbert
Social media users, particularly Swifties, agree with Colbert's assertion with one X (formerly Twitter) user saying, "Me too he’s not special"
A second one added, "Same .. so will a million others," while a third one chimed in, "Same Stephen."
Another user exclaimed, "I’ll take a bullet for her!!!"
One more chimed in, "Lol. He has no idea what is like to look in someone's eyes as their life is fading while singing shake it off. He doesn't have that Tim McGraw in him."
