However, when PEOPLE Magazine asked her about her potential love life, she just replied, "Maybe."

She went on to explain why it is tough to date in the public eye, saying, "Everything gets so exaggerated. Everything sometimes gets not interpreted the right way. So life is already hard."

"Having relationships is hard. Problems are hard. And then to see it out there and be completely changed, you want to be like, 'What is going on?'" noted the 51-year-old.

Vergara added, "But you just get used to it. It comes with being famous, so you can’t complain that much."

Sofia Vergara wants 'health and money' in relationship

Elaborating on what qualities she wants to see in her future partner, the ‘Griselda’ star told the publication, "Health. Money. Fun. With kids. That’s it. That’s all I want."

Vergara, who is the mother of a son named Manolo Gonzalez Vergara, made it clear that she does not want any more children of her own, asserting, "No more kids."

The 'Wild Card' star even said that if she gets a chance, she can date someone from the entertainment industry.

Vergara noted, "It’s already hard for a fifty-something-year-old woman to find someone. I’m not going to be now picky about, 'Oh, he can only be a doctor. Oh, he can only be an astronaut.' No, I mean, I’m not that picky."

Sofia Vergara says love can be ‘tricky’

Sharing her definition of love, Vergara said, "It’s tricky. You never know what the future is going to bring. You need to always give the best that you can, be the best person to the other person."

"Be there for them when they need you when they’re going through the hardest time. Hopefully, that will one day come back to you," added the 'Modern Family' actress.

Internet reacts to Sofia Vergara opening up about her love life

A netizen wrote, "Jeez, She needs to get over herself, she is NOWHERE near as attractive as she thinks she is," and another added, "Her need to create a sensation of one kind or another is quite pathetic actually."

"Sad woman who has nothing to offer after her mediocre looks fade. It’s not as if she’s a talented actress," remarked a person, while someone else stated, "So she’s a gold digger."

An individual expressed, "Wow!  Saying that she needs ‘money’ in a relationship should be a HUGE turnoff to any potential partner!  I wonder how her current boyfriend feels about Vergara being with him because he has ‘money’?"
