NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Sofia Vergara recently shared some insights into her modern dating life, dropping a few hints about where things might stand between her and Beverly Hills-based orthopedic surgeon Justin Saliman.

After going Instagram official with Justin Saliman in April, the 'Modern Family' Sofia Vergara whisked away on a romantic Italian getaway with him a few months later. She treated fans to glimpses of their vacation, capturing her glamorous outfits, intimate dinners, and candid moments together.

Sofia Vergara talked about romance, dropping some hints about her love life, in an interview with the Us Weekly.

When asked if she thinks New York City is the best place to date, Sofia responded, "Totally!"

She added, "Actually, I was talking yesterday about it because now I'm single."

Adding a twist to her statement, the 'Modern Family' star let out a laugh and clarified she's "kind of single". She did not delve into the details about her current status with Justin.

But what makes the Big Apple the ideal city for dating? Vergara noted its unique mix of people from various fields, saying, "There's a more diverse group of people in New York than in LA because most of the people are in the entertainment business."

She continued, explaining that New York has "people from all over the world—architects, writers, actors, businesspeople". This fresh variety may be just what the actress is looking for as she navigates her love life.

Sofia and Justin are rumored to be dating since late 2023. Sofia was spotted with Saliman outside Giorgio Baldi restaurant on March 29 this year, less than one week after they hit another Hollywood's favourite, Catch steakhouse.

They went public in April when Justin made an appearance on her Instagram Story.

Sharing a humorous take on his role as her doctor, Sofia captioned a photo of Justin holding her bandaged leg, "If u ever get a major knee surgery make sure u get a handsome doctor who will sleep with u that night!!!! Luv u Dr @jdsaliman."

Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello split over 'life goals'

This rumored budding romance is Sofia Vergara's first since her divorce from Joe Manganiello in July 2023 after seven years of marriage.

According to Sofía, the split was driven by a difference in life goals—Joe reportedly wanted children, while she did not.

However, Joe, now dating actress Caitlin O'Connor, had a different perspective. He told Men’s Journal in July, “The divorce came about because two people grew apart, and sometimes that happens.”

Despite the split, Vergara has kept her humor intact. In a playful moment, she joked in May that she found a way to “recycle” the “J” tattoo she got in honor of Joe Manganiello.

As per E! News, she quipped on CBS' 'On The Talk', "This one is Joe Manganiello's initial. But now he's gone."

Laughing, she added, "How lucky can I be that the guy that I'm going out has the same initial? Recycle, recycle!"
