‘Spot on!’ Internet agrees with Border Patrol union’s joke itinerary mocking Joe Biden over border visit
WASHINGTON, DC: The Border Patrol union brutally trolled President Joe Biden's recent visit to the southern border in Texas, as reported by Fox News.
The President traveled to the border city Brownsville on February 29 to analyze the worsening crisis due to a massive influx of undocumented migrants entering the US through the southern border.
The Border Patrol Union took to X and shared a joke itinerary of the 81-year-old President to mock his second visit to the border.
The Union posted a picture of Biden resting on a beach lounge chair and wrote, "Board AF1, take nap. Wake up in place called Brownsville. Read large teleprompter message, 'It's all Trump's fault'. Board AF1, ask who people in green uniforms were, told they 'strap' illegal aliens, express horror, take nap. Wake up, call a lid, hit beach, take nap."

On the same day, former President Donald Trump also visited the Texas border accompanied by Gov Greg Abbott. He traveled to Eagle Pass, another US-Mexico border city, approximately 325 miles northwest of Brownsville.
Joe Biden blames Donald Trump for border deal failure
Addressing the deteriorating crisis at the border, Biden took the opportunity to attack his predecessor and likely presidential opponent for the failure of the bipartisan border security deal.
The long-awaited bill did not survive the Senate floor after Trump reportedly pressured the GOP Senators to thwart it so that Biden did not have a legislative victory ahead of the November election.
"The majority of Democrats and Republicans in both houses support this legislation, until someone came along and said don't do that that'll benefit the incumbent. That's a hell of a way to do business in America for such a serious problem," Biden said in Brownsville.
However, he also urged the ex-president to work together on the border deal.
The border security issue has turned into a headache for the Biden administration as Border Patrol continues to report a record-high number of illegal migrant encounters, which skyrocketed to 300,000 in December 2023 alone.
The issue has taken center stage in the potential Trump vs Biden presidential campaign and could be decisive in the outcome of the November election.
Trump, who visited Eagle Pass the same day, put the blame on his successor by linking the increased crimes to illegal migrants. He took the example of Georgia University student Laken Riley, who was murdered in February by a Venezuelan illegal immigrant.
The former President further reiterated his immigration rhetoric in a rally speech in North Carolina on March 2, accusing Biden of conspiring to "overthrow the United States" through his lax immigration and border policies that helped millions to enter the country.
