PARIS, FRANCE: USA basketball star Steph Curry briefly lost his cool with a fan outside the team’s Olympic afterparty in Paris on Saturday night, August 10—just hours after his wife, Ayesha Curry, was reportedly reduced to tears following an unsettling encounter with French police.

Curry, 36, celebrated with his American teammates at the upscale L'Avenue restaurant following their victory over the host nation, where his impressive 24-point performance secured Team USA a 98-87 win.

The jubilant atmosphere, however, was marred by a series of unfortunate incidents that night.

Earlier, when the Golden State Warriors icon’s wife Ayesha, and mother Sonya attempted to return to their car after the game, they were involved in a tense dispute with the police.

The altercation was captured in a video shared by Hollywood Fix, where Ayesha appeared visibly upset. In the video, Sonya is heard raising concerns about their infant son, Caius Chai, who was cradled in Ayesha’s arms.

"Someone touched baby Caius Chai," Sonya shouted, while Draymond Green, Curry’s teammate, added that the baby’s head was struck during the chaos.

Compounding the issue, the Currys and Green were reportedly blocked from walking back to their car, adding to the family’s frustration.

Sonya expressed her dismay, saying, "Look, they won't let us go back over there where we came from. They won't let the driver come here and they won't let us go back over there."

Green continued to advocate for the family’s safety, questioning the police’s inaction, "So, even after him hitting the baby in the head, there's still nothing y'all can do to get them out of here?"

Sonya’s frustration escalated, leading her to shout off-camera, "What? Stop saying my name. You should be helping us with the baby!" Her plea to the officers to "let us get to our car" was a poignant moment in the video.

As the night progressed, Curry’s own patience was tested when a fan eager for an autograph seemingly waved a shirt in Sonya’s face as they exited the celebratory afterparty.

A Daily Mail video captured Curry’s stern reaction. "Watch out! Get that out of my momma's face!" he yelled.

Steph Curry draws flak online for losing his cool at fan

Social media users took to the comments section of the Daily Mail article and blasted Steph Curry for losing his cool with a fan outside the celebratory afterparty in Paris.

One reader commented, "Sad that such a great performance could be tarnished by his juvenile antics."

Another remarked, "American athletes go to other countries & think their entitlement & bad behavior is acceptable. If they can’t behave stay home. They’re just embarrassing the US."

One person wrote, "Entitled people make all Americans look bad," while another said, "Ah the entitled always causing drama."

One individual stated, "They should take their American manners and entitlement back home," while another remarked, "He was wasted and should have been arrested.

"Too much drama with American sports stars!" wrote another reader.

One person added, "US sports stars think they are something special because everything is carried after them at home. Different rules apply abroad, but to realise that you need a minimum of decency and intelligence, but not everyone has that."
