WATCH: Steph Curry’s wife Ayesha in tears as she holds on to their baby while arguing with cops in Paris
PARIS, FRANCE: Ayesha Curry, wife of Warriors standout and Team USA Olympic champion Steph Curry, seemed to become emotional after a stressful interaction with the French police in Paris.
This incident occurred as she tried to get back to their vehicle on Saturday, August 11, following the gold medal match, as seen in a video uploaded by The Hollywood Fix on YouTube.
Police refusing to let Ayesha Curry return to their original location
During the encounter, which lasted almost three minutes, Sonya Curry — Stephen Curry's mother — and his Golden State Warriors teammate Draymond Green were conversing with police officers.
Meanwhile, Ayesha Curry held their youngest son Caius, and another child, who seemed to be their eldest son Canon, walked beside them with a flag wrapped around his shoulders.
“Look, they won’t let us go back over there where we came from,” Sonya indicated a location to the officers, gesturing away from the camera's view. “They won’t let the driver come here, and they won’t let us go back over there.”
When translating the exchange between Sonya and the police, one of the men in the video said "the president" was on his way, so "nobody's allowed to cross the street right now until he's passed."
French President Emmanuel Macron was present at the game between the United States and France and may have been leaving the arena as well.
At one point during the ongoing dispute, Green accused the officers of purportedly striking the baby.
“So even after you hit the baby in the head, there’s still nothing y’all can do to get them out of here?” Green asked.
It's unclear which officer Green alleged struck the child and when the alleged contact happened in relation to the altercation.
The length of the argument, as well as the amount of time that had passed before and after the video started, are all unknown because the video ended after three minutes.
Steph Curry's family watched his gold medal game
Steph Curry's family, along with Green, watched the men's Olympic basketball final on Saturday, August 10. Curry scored 24 points, including four 3-pointers in the last three minutes of the game, to help Team USA defeat France, 98-87.
“I’ve seen that from Steph a few times, but it never gets old,” Team USA and Warriors' head coach Steve Kerr said while addressing reporters after the game.
He added, “It’s a global game with a lot of great players, but we still feel we have the greatest players. They were all so unselfish throughout this whole thing, through all the noise, all the pressure. We might be the only team in the world whose fans are ashamed of them if they get a silver medal, and that’s the pressure we face."
“But our players — and you saw Steph — they love the pressure. They appreciate this atmosphere, and they were fantastic,” he added.
Steph and Ayesha Curry tied the knot in 2011, and they expanded their family to six with the birth of their fourth child, Caius, which was announced in May.
